I'm in Houston right now because that's where I am from. I go to TCU up in Fort Worth (45 min. west of Dallas). I am only home for less than a month for Christmas break.

As long as the pup is having fun and exploring that is good but as soon and I seriously mean as soon as you see him tiring go back and be done for the day it is very important that things right now be exciting and fun ..the more he enjoys and learns on his own now the better it will be in the future when he is matures and knows that is going on

Thanks guys, nice to be here. I have a change in plans. The Griff breeder backed out(she's keeping the pup). Good news is I found a Small Munsterlander breeder not too far from me. I'm going to visit him Saturday and hopefully put a deposit down for a Spring pup. From my research, the two breeds both have similar qualities I'm looking for. My wife likes the looks of the SM more than the Griff, I'm the opposite so its a draw...

I'm 35. Just recently moved into the foothills of the Sierras in a lil town called Grass Valley. Still trying to get my lay of the land. Tons to be explored up here. I haven't done any hunting here as of yet. I'm sick with fishing of all sorts and this place is loaded for it in any direction you drive. As far as work goes, I'm a full time musician. I travel the world doing it and do what I can to get by. When that...

Hey guys and Girls, I stumbled upon this forum in my research for a new dog. My name's Alan and I live near Vancouver, BC, Host of the 2010 Winter Olympics. I have recently upgraded from a townhouse that didn't have a yard, to a house on 10 acres with a 1.5 acre pond and am now ready to get a new dog. I've had dogs almost my whole life until I moved out of my parents home to the townhouse. When I find a dog, I plan on taking it...

Britts, all dogs for that matter, mature at differing ages. The more experience that your dog gets and the more your work on his manners (yard work) the better that he will get. To me, he sounds as if he is acting his age and being a puppy. Give him time and he will get better. In the meantime, have fun and take the time to play with your hunting buddy.
