> quote: Originally posted by TWalker Thanks for your replies. As I mentioned earlier, I did buy the Saiga 12 shotgun already and as a result of your suggestions, I put the AK, MAS 45, and Marlin 44 on lay-away this afternoon. The Marlin was bought for $399 and the Mas 45 for $335. The price on the Arsenal AK was firm at $299. Thanks again! I am especially looking forward to shooting the MAS 22 rifle. It didn't have Mauser markings but...

Thanks PRVI Partizan ammo is made in Serbia (formerly part of Yugoslavia), and its good ammo at its price point. The company isn't some fly-by-night operation. Its been making ammo for over 80 years.

WW1 Colt 1911

> Hello Capt. without pictures it will be darn near impossible to give a meaningful value. If this is a WW I bring back then it will have original WW I finish and all WW I vintage parts. Right off the top a COLT 45 AUTO does not sound like a military WW I barrel . Of cours a pistol that is all Correct except the barrel is still wort much more then a REFINISHED WW I vintage pistol . IS the finish BLACK or PARKERIZED

223 brass got stuck(again)

> I don't think he is using the wrong shell holder. I tried using a #3 shell holder to hold a 223 case...won't work. Imperial wax is good but on really tough cases I have had issues...best lube I have found is the old RCBS lube...I think they make it out of STP, really slippery stuff.

> I would say it is about the same load quality as Remington green/yellow box stuff but the brass is way better. I have shot a box of it in my .300 WIn Mag and have more but have not had a real chance to try it. I bought it because loaded ammo was just a bit more then buying brass. I got some .30-06 for my neighbor and he shot 60 rounds, liked it an I got him another 100. Hard to beat for the price.

Help with a 1911 custom trigger...

Question on 1903 Springfields
Published (2009-11-21 19:29:00)
> This is a job for a gunsmith, & he won't know how difficult it is until he gets everything apart & attempts reassembly. The barrel has to index to the receiver, & the chamber has to headspace with the new bolt. Any problems, & he has to correct them. He may also have to work on the stock inletting. Do you really want to get $200-300 into work on a rifle that may not be worth much more than that? Neal

Can a Beretta 92 handle +p+ ammo?
Published (2009-11-18 01:26:00)
> I would also say that when I used to sell guns, people all the time wanted to buy the Beretta 92. And, for some stupid reason, I used to show them my collection of broken Beretta slides and cracked or completely busted Beretta locking lugs. I thought that I was educating the consumer. But no, all I was doing was losing a gun sale. They already had their mind made up to buy the Beretta. So in the end, I kept my mouth shut and sold...

I sighted in my 22.250 to 2" high at 100 yds, I usually use a 52 grain BTHP or 55 grain VMax. You should be doing much better than 2" groups at 100 yds, hopefully handloads tighten that up.

Lake City military brass is not stamped with the caliber like commercial brass. Its just LC and the date, example LC 05 and the nato X in circle. Its normal to have to trim the brass as it stretches when its resized. I have processed thousands of these for reloading.

It is, probably, the "PREMIER" model - a medium, hinged frame, 5 shot .32 S&W (the short one only). If that matches, then, with that serial number it is a 2nd Model 4th Variation and was made between circa 1916 and 1924 - probably closer to 1924. Blue finished pieces are less common than the Nickel plated versions and command a 10% premium in value. Average ...

I don't know if you legally can, or if anyone would be interested, but I sure wouldn't! If you want to sell them as components; pull the bullets, flush the powder and sell the brass and lead.

Hi, Robert, and welcome to the forum. Your Colt was manufacture in 1902 and the parts you described are fairly easy to replace. You can remove the light rust with very fine steel wool soaked in gun oil but don't do any more than that. Pictures would be very much appreciated by all as Colt SAA's are always of interest. Just upload them to a picture hosting site and...

I don't think a dealer should ever unpack a gun until the buyer is there to witness it. Otherwise, the seller will blame the dealer and he may be right. JMO. Still, notify the seller. He's responsible for safe packing and hopefully bought insurance. Keep all of the packaging!

I have 2 of these. Got them for $75 each but no spare cylinder. They have tapered cylinders for the standard 30cal ammo. However I don't know if they can shoot 32 ammo. Think about this the gun has a 30 cal barrel. The guy says with a 38cal cylinder you can shoot 32cal ammo. I can't shoot 32 cal ammo out of my smith 686.

No, it wont fit. Even if it did, the AR-10 magazine would not fit in the smaller mag well of the AR-15 lower.
