t's not a length of time - it's a degree to which you pretty much ignore or postpone real life (and the people in it) in favor if doing unnecessary things online. ^^Yup. I spend a LOT of time online between my work and my "surfing" when DH is away, because I stay at home, the baby's not born yet, and honestly, there just isn't much else to do. But when I have errands to run, they get run, I have a social life, my...

Normal. What that is called is "self talk" and at about age 2 this begins. He IS echoing the sentiment: "I am in trouble". If we think about this, it makes perfect sense. They are mirroring the response that they are about to receive from their PCG's and THAT is a good thing. It is a system of self checks we have, and it begins in these formative years. ?

I would tell her the rat died. My old roommate bought a pet rat for his daughter. She was three. The mother rat had babies and either she or the father ate the babies. I was sooooo freaked out. I asked him to keep his damned rat in the garage.?He bought her a dog after I moved out.?Just wondering if your DD saw Ratatouille or something. Why a rat??

Fuck, I wouldn't say the kid is "crying for attention". Do his parents give him attention? What are you suggesting? IMO( without knowing the entire story with this kid ) He's just learning to talk. Kids that age are like parrots, he probably heard it from his momma when he was acting up, and now he's saying it.

No...if that was the case there would be a hell of alot of names we couldnt choose from. It might be different if it was a sibling or best friend...but she is just your co-worker.? Unless your great friends,?I dont see the problem.? Odds are in a few years you might not even talk to each other anymore. And Parker is a common name right now, so lots of babies have that name! :)

I don't see the big deal, honestly. My DBF is older than me by more than 10 years. It's such a non issue in our relationship though. I do think it depends on age and the maturity of the people in the relationship.

Didnt realize that damn and god were profane words. I apologize for those who got offended. So I was watching my nightly episode of TMZ and saw a story on this. Heres the lowdown. So taylor swift was at katy perry's 25th birthday party, and every guest was asked to wear all white to the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory themed party. Well everybody is saying that she is a Jew ...

Kind of a stuck up verse if you ask me.  It kind of sounds like it's telling Christians to not have anything to do with nonChristians, which is not what Jesus wanted. I'm an atheist, btw.

My daughters best friend at school is deadly allergic to peanuts and treenuts.  The school is horrible.  Other parents are horrible. I have heard things like "It's my RIGHT to give my kid peanut butter."  "If he's so allergic maybe his mom should keep him home." "why should we suffer because he can't eat peanuts." It makes me wonder about those parents.  How on earth.  The child could DIE,...

Your dad is silly. Spas are for people who can AFFORD them. That is all. And clearly your dad hasn't been a stay at home parent.  My dh tells me every sunday night how happy he is to *get* to go to work on monday morning.  Hmph.  By Sunday night I don't find it amusing.

I would much rather I spent what little extra money I may have on my kids.  In fact, I do it all the time.  That's why mama doesn't have many clothes.  I do think that a parent who spends more money on their luxuries than on their children's are selfish.

Lots of threads on this already.  But who knows, new people new info...  Anyway, I've home-schooled my three who are 17, 12 and 6.  It works for us.  They socialize (maybe a little too much) and they aren't particularly weirder than any other kids.  But, I'm in the education field some what and have been "schooled" so to speak on education and learning techniques.  That doesn't mean I'm any ...
