Hi Ladies, DS slept from 6:45-5:50.? In all, not a bad night, but a later WU would have been nice since he will be up later this morning.? Also, he refused most of his breakfast and WM bottle.? Napped just 45 minutes - woke, pooped, and refused his 2nd bottle.? Finally gave him some Motrin and he drank his bottle 30 minutes later.? I did not give any Motrin sooner because he wasn't acting like he was in pain, but when he refused the 2nd...

Tiffany..Good Morning..It's afternoon for you, isn't it? Hope Nathan takes a good nap for you. Tiden finally fell alseep again at 1:50 last night.?DH went to sleep on the couch for the rest of the night, and that's where he'll be sleeping tonight too. I couldn't really tell if Tiden STTN after that because I didn't have a camera on. I heard him tossing and turning throughout the night though. He was up right...

MD - bummer.? I'm not a last minute person either so I would be upset, too. DH made cheese enchiladas in red sauce and chili on top.? He does a good chicken with green chile sauce, too.? DD loves the dog, but yeah, I wouldn't get one yet if I were you.? Wait until he's older. We're about to find out if a poop will interrupt a nap because she pooped just before she fell asleep for her 2nd nap.? I could hear her grunting and...

I would also just repeat that he may only be able to stay awake about an hour, maybe shorter in the morning so as soon as he seems tired, try to get him to sleep.

Beth - We have a messed up bottle schedule too. I started following the Gerber feeding plan and it jsut stuck. He has 6 oz. at 6am, 4 oz. at 10:30am, 4 oz. at 12:30pm, 4 oz. at 3:30pm, 4 oz. at 5:30pm and 4 oz. at bedtime. Basically every snack he has formula & Puffs and every meal he has 4 oz. before. The bedtime bottle is to keep him quiet while I'm reading books. Yes his sippy cup has a stopperm but I removed it because he...

Sarah wow that is a lot of catch up sleep.? Leah tends to nap extra long the day after a bad night too.? So glad to hear more from you!? Okay so my child has about 8 different loveys.? All pink but we recently got one as a gift from a coworker of mine and even though it's like exactly the same as the others, she has become attached to it.? I was wondering the same thing about the taxi! Kate glad you had an easier night/day today.? Hope that continues. Katie, I didn't exactly wean...we just never really started because I HATE the pump.? Will slept from 7:30-7 this morning.? Unfortunately, he's still not feeling well and his cough is a little worse.? He was attached to me all morning.? Happy Christmas Eve girls!!!!!!! Angela, my DH "technically" has a rottweiler, but she lives at his mom's house. He got her in college and post-college, his apartment didn't allow pets so his mom took her in. Then she fell in love with her and won't let her go. I am NOT sad about this. She is a sweet dog, but 120 pounds and sheds like CRAZY! We dog-sit whenever his mom is out of town and it takes tons of vacuuming and...

Sounds like possibly the onset of the 2-1 nap transition. I would start by stretching out her wakeful period to consistently 3.5 for now, and more later if no improvements are seen in a weeks time. I've talked more about my YDS's nap transition here starting on pg 2; http://community.babycenter.com/post/a19218186/trouble_with_2nd_nap_-_9_month_old? Another very likely possibility is the start of the terrible 2's. ALL great...

Oh I am right there with you.  My DD turns 7 months next week and it seems like she can stay awake much longer now.  She generally sleeps 11 - 12 hrs at night. If its 12 than she woke early in the AM to eat and went back to sleep.  Anyway, I usually put her down 2.25 hrs before nap 1 and 2.5 hours before her second nap.  Yesterday it took her 35 minutes to fall asleep for nap 2 and today it ...

I know you said stickers aren't motivating, but they may be when the end result is a food item or toy.  So maybe he gets a sticker every night he stays in his room and once the sticker chart is full he gets a special food or new toy.  To start with maybe only do like three stickers, and maybe give them out for another thing you know he WILL do so he gets the reward soon and sees how awesome it ...

not always, that is why we started CIO with checks at night.  she would wake 10-20-30 mins later - and it was taking 2++hours to get her to sleep. so we started last week and she cried really good one night but the other nights were not so bad. She wakes and cried as she is overtired as her naps are terrible.....

we put him down drowsy most of the time and rock him the rest. i try to watch for his tired cues and put him down immediately and still the naps are short. so this is common at this age? when he wakes up in the middle of thenight i usually stick a pacifier in to see if that will settle him and if not, i feed him. we are going to be transitioning him to his own room and crib b/c he is outgrowing ...

Hi- Hope you dont mind if I chim in for some advice from those of you that have been through this transition.  I am working on it with my 18 month old.  He has been taking 1 nap for 3 weeks.  The problem I am having is that the nap is often short 1hr 20-1 hr 30 minutes (other times its over 2 hours).  And he only sleeps 10 hours at night, sometimes less.  Sometimes 10.5 hrs.  (on 2 naps he was ...

Liz, I thought we were past the second nap issues, but it reared its head again yesterday and today.  I PD at 1:25, 3.25 hours after previous WU.  SR at 2:10 and finally asleep at 2:25.  For SR's, I was doing a PU, kiss, and PD with lovey.  This time, I actually got him out, read a quick book, sang Twinkle Twinkle, and PD.  I think I'm going to stick with this routine as a SR, since the ...

Our house gets down to about 60-63 at night.  We don't use the heater because it wakes DS sometimes.  We dress him with a onesie, regular cotton sleeper, 2 fleece sleepers, and then a cotton Halo sleep sack.  He is able to crawl and stand even with the sack.  Because he has so much on, we use a 9-month sleeper and then a 12-month sleeper over that.

Yep we've seen the dr. she's checked for infection and nothing. We upped her zantac a month ago when she last did this so I doubled it again on saturday.  I don't want to call her again because she threatened to call a social worker on me the last time Lilly stopped sleeping...like it's my fault.  I still nurse and I've cut out anything that could keep her awake.  I stick to the same schedule ...
