I also use baby powder, I just put some right in the diaper. We also found that changing him at night woke him up and it was harder to put him down. Should you use butt paste even if there is no sign of a rash? I have never heard of using it when there is no rash.

We did the cover under the mattress but finally broke down and got the meds we have a completly differnet baby these days she is much happier and spits up much less. heartburn.about.com/od/infantschild...

Hi Mandy, my LO is 7 wks (this past Thursday) and has just begun drooling and putting her hands in her mouth. We have both been dealing with thrush since leaving the hospital so I don't think it's related to that. It's funny because I'm also a FTM and a teacher so when I see her put her hands in her mouth I have to stop myself from saying, "Stop putting your hands in your mouth" since I work with children with...

we do it all the time.? i keep the premix bottles for when we are on the go and use powder at home.? the only thing i notice is that the liquid is darker and stains bibs and clothes.? the only thing i can figure is that it is some sort of preservative they have to put in it to give it shelf life.

Yes.  I got it last night and asked three different people there.  Also..ANYONE living in your house is able to get it now because they live in a house with an infant under the age of 6 months!  My dh got one too!

I do the same thing.  I wouldn't worry about "tummy time" so much.  She'll get it.  Paul slept on his belly for about 15 min today.

All babies are different, I can't imagine my LO not napping...she takes an hour nap every 1 1/2 hours and she's 7 wks. She def. has began fighting sleep, but I just walk her around or put her in a sling and she's out within 2 minutes.

I have a Graco travel system and I have not used to stroleer yet just hte car seat but lugging baby in the seat to the doctor is really a workout so pretty soon its going to be stroller time. I love it.

im a FTM too...but when he is awake i dont constantly play with him. he actually gets really crabby if i dont give him alone time! i either lay him in his playgym thing, or his swing with the mobile going, or lay him in his crib with his mobile going.  he loves it! i do this off and on throughout his awake time every day. :) when he is in his happy time we read, make faces, play, do this little ...

Many restaurants have slings to put the car seat in.  It has worked out really well for us.  We use a sling, or put her on the booth seat next to one of us.  On one occasion I used a chair next to me and I have used the floor before as well.
