Sometimes I have to lay my son on the floor and put my leg over his chest so I can change his diaper lol Usually letting him play with? my cell keeps him distracted enough to get the job done...he'll hit random numbers and then the call button, he thinks it's funny when the automatic answering thing says in spanish?that he can't complete his call

I sit in a dark room :) Just kidding...kind of. ?I feel like a total mess. ?I was happy to read this post and get a little inspiration. ?I used to go to the gym every day, have highlights every 2 months, spend 45 minutes on hair and makeup every morning...now it's old jeans bc I still dont fit in my pre-pregnancy ones, my husbands hoodies, hair in a ponytail, and 3 inch long roots since I haven't had hightlights since early August....

taking DS to NFL game..good idea?
Published (2009-11-08 09:31:33)
I think it's fine as long as you don't expect to actually sit and watch the game. I couldn't fathom my LO sitting still longer than a few minutes. He has to be walking around and checking everything out. I think bringing the carrier is good, but that might be good for only so long as well. I really do hope it goes well for you. Each child is different, I just couldn't imagine attempting it with my kiddo at this stage. I...

We took Caleb to a baseball game in August.? We didn't make it.? He wanted down the whole time, screamed to get down, jumped at every noise, then didn't sleep all night.? It was awful.? We love going to baseball games (Cincinnati Reds) but didn't try anymore after that.? Knowing hwo crazy NFL games are I wouldn't even bother trying.? They are much louder and much "drunker" than baseball.

I'm a schedule girl as well.  I agree that since you are the stay at home mom you should do what works best for you and your kids.  Maybe it is your husband that needs to be more flexible!

eeeek...not seeing the same thing although Erin does have a full belly most of the time.  But that's just because she likes to eat ;) Have you tried more fiber?  A little half apple juice/half water or even small apple chunks to help move that along?

Last winter my son had alot of ear infections...the first time he had one they didn't give him strong enough antibiotics, so it came back with a vengence! He probably had 4 or 5 ear infections within a few months, and his doc said if he had 2 more within a month she'd recommend the tubes...so I think they have to have quite a few back to back before they'll do the tubes. Luckily he hasn't had ...

Hi! First off I wanna say, you can totally do it! I quit w/ while pregnant w/ my son, and I too for some idiotic reason decided to pick it up again. I decided to quit and was working on quitting. Then I found out I was pregnant again. For me, I've always just tried to cut down, then change to a softer cig. I always made sure to have gum or mints to help as well. I personally think cutting ...

Did you do any crafts with you 13 mths old? I wanna start doing things, but I have no idea what I could be doing with him. He's a mover, so I don't think paint or crayons are that good of an idea. What do you do? or should I wait just a lil more to do anything with him?

Sled Suggestion - 11 new posts
Started 1 week, 1 day ago (2009-11-02 00:00:00)  by Giggles38
Hello. We live near Chicago and, yes, winter is coming and will be long here. I am thinking to get a sled to go down on a light hill for my LO. Given that she is just one year old, I imagine we need one that an adult can ride on together. Would you have any suggestion which one to get? Suggestion much appreciated. Thanks!

Useless: diaper genie (newborn poop isn't smelly and a garbage can with a lid worked fine.) wipe warmer (it dried out my wipes!) bottle warmer (faster and more efficient to use a cup of hot water)

We're on the same boat. I was so proud of my "good eater" and then - BAM no veggies. I found that if I do the same thing as AlexIV mentioned, she'll eat a bit more veggies than if we were watching her.

My son LOVES my blackberry. He carries it everywhere. I was surprised at how sturdy and how much beating they can take. But it did recently stop working so I ordered a new one. Now he's mad because the battery is dead and it doesn't lite up when he pushes the buttons... I'm not going to charge an old blackberry everynight just so he can throw it on the ground and "call" people. He is also ...

Do they make something like that???? My son constantly grabs the knobs on our stove and it drives me crazy! This is our first year in our new house and before we had an electric stove with the knobs on top like they should be (lol) but the ones on the gas stove are right at 1-year-old grabbing level. This was clearly designed by someone without small children. If I can find a way to ...

My DD loves PB&J sandwiches and PB toast. I would just say to watch them when they eat it and if it all goes okay (no choking, no allergic reaction, etc.) then you should be fine!

Hey everyone, I know I'm not the only mommy that does this, but I have pet names for my LO's and for my first child it was a figured out one.  We decided on it b/c we were watching the movie 300, we call him Calebious. LOL. And for my 08 baby it was an accident. My 08 baby is named Dylan and I was trying to talk to him really fast when he was a month old and Dilly came out and ever since then...

Dr Sears' advice is not to get them both at the same time. That being so it's too late since you already did it! I'm sure it will be fine. Were there any reactions to them?
