There's no reason for you to have to take it out. Many women successfully breastfeed/pump with
pierced nipples. The biggest complaint seems to be that the piercings get irritated from having to be taken out while BFing then put back in after the feeding is done. I had both of my nipples pierced in the early part of my pregnancy, but ended up taking them out because they were just too damn sore. ...

Honestly? What is she gonna do? Take you to the Dr to have it removed by laser treatment? I highly doubt it. lol
I would tell her before she sees it, and then next time you see your mom, show it off with the right pair of shoes. Don't feel ashamed you got it and
timid and waiting for your mom to freak.....Just love your tattoo and deal with the 1 day your mom might be pissed. She'll get ...

during vaginal birth they don't make you take it out. however, if you have to have a c-section it is out no matter what. I asked the same question to my doc. they don't want it in because it can get in the way or
get ripped out if they have to put a breathing tube in or anything.

Healing time varies for everybody. On an average, 6-12 months. =) Just keep up with the aftercare even after it looks healed. when it doesnt hurt anymore, then you're good. =)

i had my nipples
pierced up until i was about 8 wks pregnant. and like any piercing when you take it out it is going to produce the white substance...it smells bad too lol... but it isnt going to hurt you breastfeeding. the white substance is your body reacting to an injury, it will produce this stuff until the piercing is completely healed. i have been breastfeeding for the past two weeks since...

Nope! I got mine peirced about a month ago. It really doesnt hurt. It was swollen for a few days but not bad at all. I have a tiny, little lip stud but am about to switch it to a hoop.
Good luck!

It is the same one i was pierced with. I didnt want to change it until after i had the baby for this exact reason. LOL didnt want to have any
irritation or infection from changing, and thought a year would be good enough time. so much for that thinking. :(

I re-pierce people all day. =) It hurts a little bit more getting it redone than the first time, because of the
scar tissue. Healing time usually remains the same. As long as you take care of a new piercing, you should be fine. =)
