I am so sorry your so exhausted, it makes regular functuality of life so impossible. I do however think the instability has a lot to do with this. Children thrive on routine, security in their environment, and I think this has a lot to do with moving around so much and being in different environments. I think that expecting her to STTN the night right now is just not an option, try not dwell on the fact that she doesn't STTN (my son has...

It sounds like seperation anxiety and I promise it will pass! :) My LO is doing the same things I cant even get up off the couch without her screaming, Most the time I just get up and do what I gotta do I not fold my laundry on the floor so shes with me, I put the gate up in the kitchen so she can be near me, its been crazy and a LOT of crying she just seems so misserable lately. My son was the same way he grew out of it though they all do we...

I really don't like those "What To Expect" books. (Sorry PP!). I like Dr Sears and Penelope Leach who are more about day-to-life with a toddler instead of charts about child development.

I could have written your post myself.? DD is impossible around me.? She wants me to hold her and move around with her ALL the time.? I sometimes just ignore her screams and do what I need to do, unless her screams change into this very sad pitch that I know would lead to her throwing up, only then I would carry her. I hope it's just a phase.? My cousin has a DS the same age as our LO's, and he's doing the same thing around his...

Need Suggestions for Cool Mist...

Ok, I just re-read your post. I am surprised that he recommended a vaporizer. I did a quick google search and it seems that all vaporizers are warm mist which are not recommended much at all. They can be safety hazards for little kids and can cause mold to grow, making breathing problems worse. Good luck on your search though! parenting.ivillage.com/tp/tphealth/...

bleeding from molars?
Published (2009-11-27 22:07:44)
today my daughter was playing and laughing and I noticed her gums where her teeth were coming in were a little bloody..just a little, I don't think it would be enough to get on her sheets or anything though. but that could be it, it is probably not uncommon for gums to bleed when teeth break through..ouch! poor little babies!

haven't gotten there yet! OMG, Its going to be interesting though. Does everyone go through this ?? Maybe DD will skip this phase. Although she does get clingy when we go to baby class, then as she warms up to people she's fine.

I have never ever seen food in LO poop.  It never changed color based on what he ate (like I've read it could do).  He swallowed a sticker a few weeks back and I was looking for it to come out in some form, but never saw that either.

Seperation Anxiety when I'm in the room? I guess if i were getting my coat and shoes and she knows that I'm getting ready to leave that would make sense to me, but it's when I'm there that she's at her worst. When I'm gone she is just fine. Is there something I can do to make her feel more secure? Is there something I have done to make her feel so insecure? I just don't know what to do and the ...

did you call her doctor?  I am a nurse and used to work in a children's ER.  We always wanted to see any child who had a seizure for the first time to determine the cause of the seizure.  Given that she had a fever and that around 1 yr is usually when febrile seizures start, that is the most likely cause for the seizure.  However, there are other causes, like meningitis, that may also only have ...

All the time with pancakes.  Not a lot at a time, but often. I didn't think there was a problem with maple syrup, especially since most syrups are simulated maple syrup.

We went to church this morning in the rain and now I'm eating leftover pizza while the baby naps and DH does some work from the basement.  I'm looking forward to the holidays, too!  I can't remember the last time my DH had 5 days in a row off from work!  (Wednesday - Sunday!!!!!)

Amelia is a crabby wakerupper.  She hardly ever wakes up cheerful, either from naps or in the morning.  I think it's just her personality.  I tell my husband she's just like him! :)

Ug Migraines!  I have had them all of my life (since 10 or so) but I cannot take things like Imitrex or meds like those.  I have complicated migraines where I get a weird aura (flashing lights and patterns) and arm numbness/weakness so those meds can make that part of them worse. A daily beta-blocker (blood pressure med) is shown to help some people...and I have been on an SSRI for prevention...

I put no never then remembered we had that powdered candy with the sugar sticks to dip in them and I let her have a taste of that, but that's the only time. My Aunt asked me at Brady's cousin's b-day party if I wanted to giver her a sucker. I looked at her like she had two heads. It's not like I am completely against giving her a taste of candy, but that just seems like a choking episode ...

www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?p... I got this one for my older daughter for her first birthday.  It was great because I could make it small to her height and then you can raise it higher for when they are older.  She loves it and still plays with it all the time.  She is 2 1/2.

Your LO wakes up once? I would consider yourself lucky. It's still very normal for them to wake up once especially if it's to eat. That seems like a big stretch of sleep and I would just your LO grow out of it. If you really want to try to get your LO to sleep through it, maybe introduce a lovey or try to pat LO's butt or back instead of getting LO out of the crib?
