Hey I have a plan, you feed your kids what you want and I will feed my son what I think is right for him.? A well rounded life includes everything in moderation andI will not make him eat on tofu and veggies the rest of his life BTW...Last I checked chicken nuggets are FAR from poisonous

We have trouble with clothes altogether.? My DS can have his entire outfit (including socks) off in about 5 seconds.? He also attempts to do this in public.? Luckily I stay home with him, so I allow him to run around naked if he chooses.? I have to give myself a lot of extra time to battle over clothes when we leave the house.? He wore his pajama top and slippers to Thanksgiving dinner at my in-laws.? My nephew (who is the same age) was...

anyone thinking about bday ideas?
Published (2009-12-03 00:00:00)
I actually have been thinking about this! I have a new LO due in early March and my DS's birthday is in late March. We've always done his parties at home, and while?prefer that, I don't want to deal with the preparation and the mess with a newborn at home. There is a recreation center in our city that rents out by the afternoon. They have a gym area and dining area divided by a low wall. In the gym area they put up several of...

I'm the disciplinarian (90%) in our house because I'm with them most of the time.? That being said, Daddy looks like the FUN Hero guy because when he spends time with them - he is fun one.? As moms we have the daily trials and tribulations with our children.? My boys will call out of dad too when in time-out, etc.? I'm also much more strict with bed time, staying in bed, not sleeping with us, etc.? The boys know this and since...

Oh yes, we are doing Sesame Street theme, and are combining his party with his brothers.? I actually already have most of the decorations!? Hit a 50% off sales so I couldn't resist.? Brian is already excited about it, telling people he will be 3 on his Elmo birthday. We were actually going to do the swingset but got one recently on a really good sale so we are probably doing a bike with training wheels and since he is very into the Cars...

Christina- Just a suggestion but buy some crib pads.? Layer the bed.? First a waterproof mattress cover so it? doesn't ruin the mattress, fitted sheet, crib pad, top sheet, crib pad, top sheet, then blankets.? This way if they wet you just take off a layer.? Much easier than cleaning up the while bed.?

ok. I'll stop eating fast food and anything that isn't organic. and you know what? I'm still going to die someday.
no thanks. I'll continue putting those " toxins" into my body and I'll enjoy every minute of it.

Just want to see what works for you... My DD just does not want to go on the potty. She is very smart and she has gone on the potty at random times. In fact, the first day we got the potty she sat on it and went. We tried panties for a day but after asking her to sit on the potty every hour or so, she was frustrated and didn't want to do it anymore. Now she just gets super mad when I bring it up...

I know I'm 4 months ahead of myself, but I'm already thinking of birthday ideas and gifts for my DD. I LOVE birthday parties(especially my kids!) and always try to make them feel special. I am thinking about getting DD a swing set this year but still don't know yet. I'm trying to think of a theme, or even if we are going to use a theme this year. Anyone else already thinking about it? Got any ...

Aren't they still really young to be expected to wake up at night to go to the bathroom? I thought that came closer to 3 and a half or so?
Did your LOs have completely dry diapers/pull-ups at night for awhile before you put them in underwear? My DD is 2.5 and potty trained but still wears diapers at night, and those diapers are soaked every morning! There is no way I would put her in...

Yup I feel your pain... My DS is in the midst of his terrible two's as well... but I even knowing that he'll grow out of the behavior it is still pretty frustrating. Any time that he starts throwing a fit about something, I tell him to go and sit on his bed until he's calmed down. He sometimes will put up a fight about it, but I'll get him on the bed and close the door and let him yell for a few...

I agree with the others. I would tell her that you understand that it feels good to do that but it must be done in private just like going potty (if she is trained) If she wants she can go to her room or that bathroom but never in front of people.

We moved reed to her "big girl room" before Chloe got here...but really the only reason we made the switch was because the guest bedroom (reed's new room) was much bigger...more than twice the size of her original room..we did it long before Chloe got here...she was/still is perfectly happy...

We have issues sometimes, and there have been times i have let her go to school in her pajama's because we ran out of time to argue about it. What usually works for us is either telling her we need to change because the shirt she is wearing is dirty, we also let he sleep in the shirt she will be wearing for the next day.

My daughter is 3 in March of 2010 also and she has her moments both loveable and hateable.
I 've got no words of wisdom foryou since I hear that boys are different than girls but my lovely angelic darling girl makes me wonder where the two horns are on her head from time to time.
from telling me NO, to hitting ME, to telling ME dont hit HER, sometiems I just want her to be 4mths old again...
