I feel the same way.? This is my first pregnancy, so it's not like I have any previous losses or anything, but I am high risk.? DH's theory (and it's probably a good one) is that I'm pessimistic as a way of protecting my feelings.? I also got cold feet when I intended to tell and chickened out - it just felt wrong to tell for some reason.? I don't think it's abnormal at all.?

Baby's Heart Beat on...
Published (2009-11-21 00:00:00)
I honestly don't know but it's always upsetting to me when the doctors don't talk more to the moms about this.? I'm 8 1/2 weeks now and my midwife barely found the heartbeat on my u/s on Thursday.? It was the teeniest, barely visible flicker.? I think that based on that it's possible it was just too early.? I hope everything is fine.? If you can get a hold of your doctor's office over the weekend, even just a...

Caffeine?
Published (2009-11-21 00:00:00)
I thought we were allowed to have a little caffeine. After all- it does naturally occur in some foods (ie chocolate). Have had some headaches but not caused by tea or soda. I drank my first soda since I found out I was pregnant last night. Tylenol worked for solving the headaches though.

Hospital vs. Birthing Center
Published (2009-11-21 00:00:00)
I had my 2nd baby at a birthing center that was attached to a small hospital. ?It was WONDERFUL! ?The care was great -- the midwife and nurse stayed with me the whole time and I really didn't feel anything hospital like about it, but I knew there was an ER and OR available just in case. ?I think their philosophy differed in a great way but the level of care was incredible.

My name gets mispronounced so often that I actually answer to Jackie or Jacklyn now, haha. But, even if it's mispronounced, all I do is give a quick correction and then it's usually done right after that. I wouldn't worry about it too much!

I'd buy it after I did some research on it, consumer reports etc. Who would you call to look at it? The DMV maybe to see if it is a legal modification in your state? Either way, like PP said, WAY cheaper than a new SUV with third row seating. Will have my hubby look at it as this is a great idea, with this baby we have run out of seats in the 4wd vehicle and the mini-van is crap in the snow/...

I had them with my first DD when I was exactly 20 weeks preggo with horrible bleeding. Ended up stay in the hospital for 2 days bc of them. Can honestly say they do hurt to pass much as labor.  They really didn't do any thing for treatment since I passed mine but they did do an u.s. to make sure I wasn't going to pass any more. They did make me drink a bunch of water a long with the iv shoved in...

Try not to stress. My Dr. said that once heartbeat is heard it is 3% chance or less. Take comfort in that, but try not stress no matter what. Just enjoy your pregnancy.  Appointments can be fun mile markers, but not if we make ourselves sick with worry! :o)

I don't but my mom has two rods in her back and can't bend at all above the waist (can't curve/roll her spine). She was able to have all three of us naturally and she didn't break anything. She doesn't have the disc problem, though, so I don't know how it could affect that. I would say just take it slow and gentle. Good luck!

not sure about missourri law, but here in illinois you don't have to put them on the birth certificate even if you know it's the father.  In order to attain visitation he has to prove paternity which he would have to pay for.  In court you can request supervised supervision and state your case.  usually visitation doesn't happen til the child is older so the baby can bond with you.. I've looked ...

I had what I think was a small clot (thick blood) and I freaked out and called the doc yesterday. He said that unless I'm bleeding heavily and having cramping, the chances of it being a m/c are so, so rare.  I explained that I was so worried bc it was a clot, but he said that does not mean m/c. He told me I could go to the er, but he didn't think that was necessary. And, he assured me that I was...

Just curious, why did you expect them to be anything but happy?  You don't really have to answer, I would just think that most of the time family is happy with a baby announcement. I'm with Charmedmom a little.  I'm not afraid to tell my family but I think they are going to be a little shocked.  I'm pretty sure that most family expects that we are done but nope, and I'll be 36 when #4 is born...

I don't drink sodas either but I was huge on coffee. I still kept drinking a cup of coffee every morning after concieving and my doctor said that was fine as long as it's not like 12 cups a day :) THEN all of a sudden I got the worst food adversion spell and now I can't even think of having coffee :( It smells so good and I miss it but it makes me feel yucky when I actually think of drinking it....

Is he willing to stop drinking before making the decision?  Would he get into AA or something like that to help?  I would also ask him to go to counseling.  Right now his mind is clouded, he needs to have some clarity.  Getting rid of the alcohol and involving a neutral third party will be of the utmost importance.

Oh yes, skip VS, they don't carry anything good if you're beyond a D. I shop Lane Bryant's Cacique collection, they carry plenty of DDD and on up through H and beyond. You can order online or they do have a lot of stores...I just bought my first DDD...I'll end up going to a maternity store/department store at the end of my pregnancy for maternity bras though. Oh yes, and the bras at Lane Bryant ...

Definitely Michael if it's a boy. It's after a family member. Not sure about a middle name, but I'm leaning toward Vincent. If it's a girl, I have no idea. The middle name will be Michela though.

Hey girl your not alone.  All I've been able to eat for the past 7 weeks are Sour Patch Kids, Gummi Worms, and Christmas Captin Crunch.  I would have given my left arm for a rare juicy steak when I was in Thailand and now just thought of putting steak in my mouth is revolting!
