That's not what my Ped. told me, but from what everybody's posted here lately, it seems every single pediatrician has a different opinion on this stuff! So it's not confusing at all, right?!? If you're uncomfortable with his/her advice, do some research on your own. Obviously, make sure it's reputable advice like the AAP or whatever. Come up with a plan you're comfortable with. Do you have friends that see other...

We go to a Mommy&Me music and dance class once a week.? It's not any specific program or curriculum (because of where we live) but we love it.

It just depends on babies. My son's bedtime (his choice and our choice) is between 2 am and 4 am. My dh and I get up at noon and he gets up at 2 usually.? Your lo will eventually sleep longer and later. They're still little now and figuring everything out. After all this, being out in the world thing is still kind of new.

Absolutely do not agree with it. IMO the baby stops crying bc eventually they give up hoping mom/dad will come in for them. That makes me sad. If my LO needs me I want them to know I am there for them. Side note- I think most CIO experts agree that you should wait until LO is at least 6 months old- your LO is too young.

I started my LO on oatmeal cereal at 3 months. For the same reasons, and he didn't seem satisfied with just formula. I gave it to him from a fast flow nipple in a bottle. I know they say not to, because of the risk of choking but if you make the consistency right, you really don't have to worry about it. I chose oatmeal vs rice because my son had problems with constipation and could use the ...

Well if your doctor can tell you the advantages of CIO, the sure go ahead, but I do not think there are any benefits of letting a baby CIO.
I think your doing fine. If you keep your LO up when he wants to sleep he will be cranky.
You do what you think is best, you know your little one better than anyone

Yes! My poor LO used to throw up every time she ate. She was only 9 pounds 6 ounces at 3 months. She was only in the third percentile for weight! (She was 6 pounds 11 ounces at birth.) She was going for weight checks two or three times a week for most of her life. She had so many tests for reflux (upper GI, ultrasound, etc.) and they said it that wasn't it. Didn't make sense because no ...

sounds like Alexis. She is up for an hour or two and will take a 1/2 hour to an hour nap. An AM nap, afternoon nap, an evening nap and nighttime sleep. She sleeps from about 9 pm to 9 am, give or take a 1/2 hour....

I have to say because they are lazy. My house smokes but outside only. We have children for goodness sake but my dad does it at his place and It reaks so bad. Therefore we do not go over there often. Supposely he is trying to quite we shall see. I wish him luck.

I think it's good to eat organic whenever you can, regardless of BF. I switched to organic milk during pregnancy, but otherwise, we don't do much organic. Hard to find around here, therefore it's super expensive. But I do buy as much as possible at farmers markets in the summer. A lot of it is organic, small farmers just usually don't go to the trouble of getting certified.

I know I'm not pregnant anymore because...
I can eat whatever I want without throwing up!
I no longer have an overwhelming craving to eat corn dogs.
When I think I feel fetal movement, it really is just gas. ;)

I have this mini Cuisinart one. It works good and you really don't need anything bigger than this. Whatever I process in this still fills at least one ice cube tray.

Me and my sister we're thinking of taking our boys next month when I go home, but were wondering because we had heard people saying it was scary. I'm not sure how scared my son would be, he seems to understand things aren't real and tends to like being scared. But her son definitely would not be good with it if it's really scary. They too both love the harry potter movies(hers is 5 mine is 3) ...
