Our biggest issue right now is DS throwing things in the trash can.? He is very proud of himself because he believes he is cleaning.? Interestingly though he only cleans my stuff or my DD's stuff but never ever his toys or something that belongs to him.

One of my favorites recently is "What happened?" and that's usually because it is said in response to something that was done completely intentionally....like throwing the empty roll from the toilet paper into the toilet.? I was drawing up his bath, and all of a sudden I heard, "Uh oh!? What happened?"? I turned to see him looking into the toilet.? I'm just glad he didn't try to flush it!?

Today, I was putting on my makeup and thought Jack was being awfully quiet. He had stolen the toothpaste and a nail file. He was dipping the nail file into the toothpaste and licking it off!!!!!! ?

we have the same issue with family buying tons for her so we didn't do too much this year. When I was growing up we always got one "big" item and then little things and stocking stuffers..so we have tried to stick to that principle. Her big item is a Step2 play kitchen with all the accessories. I lucked out and found one on craigslist with all the food and a few extra things for $100! The kitchen alone is worth over $150 so I...

My LO only says about 25 words, and it is like pulling teeth to get him to try. I am making him try to say the word before I give him what he wants. If he won't say the word, I am trying to make him say at least a sound. He is much more enthusiastic to make the sound of the letter. I will have his speech evaluated after the New Year, if it doesn't pick up soon. I would like to learn some tools (...

To be honest...I did not go overboard.  It is Xmas/birthday all the time for DD...I feel like we are drowning in stuff!  But to answer your question, we bought her a set of wooden puzzles.  Then "Santa" got her a play kitchen and then a book for her stocking.  That is all we got her.  Between that and the gifts she will receive from relatives she will make out just fine...LOL. My son is just learning that boys and girls are different. Whenever we are in public he decides it's a great time to practice this new skill. We were at Cub Foods the other day when he started pointing to other shoppers referring to them (loudly) as "NO PENIS!" and "PENIS!". Lovely.

Ugh. So sorry. The pictures came out HUGE. WTH is wrong with BBC? Ugh (again). Trying to resize them now.   Not working - but you can click on them to see the whole pic. Oh and this is how Jack got his latest nickname: Captain Powder Pants!

Kristy, We did Blues Clues last year for DS and were able to find some Blues Clues stuff at Party City.  This year is going to be Mickey Mouse (or Cup-Cup the way he calls Mickey... have no idea why).

I do too!  I am so surprised what comes out of her mouth sometimes.  I ask myself "how do you know that"  Sometimes I just want her to take a break too like when it's bedtime.   What can you do?

Awwww that's too cute! My LO is REALLY into Blue's Clues so we bought him a glodoodle to use as his handy dandy notebook. When we put blues clues on he says in the higest pitched voice "Where did my bopkbook go?" so cute! He likes to copy us a bunch too. :D

I hear ya. Abbey has been little miss drama queen. She has a hard time with the word "no" (unless she of course is the one saying it). If she is particularly tired or hungry, she will commence one of her tantrums. She has taken to hitting mommy and daddy when she gets very ticked off. bunnyfeather - my DS also decided to come early (3 1/2 weeks actually) and the day we have chosen to have his big party is only a day after his original due date..lol.. SO if HE hadnt decided to come early we wouldnt have this problem..lol... he was due feb 5th and came on jan 17th.. so you are right its his own fault.. haha..
