She's not in daycare so it's not an issue of passing it to them, just us. LOL. I will still probably take her in just in case. My sister has been having the same problem, but no redness either so it made me wonder if they both caught a freak cold in their eyes. lol. I tend to think too much. :D

I have a picky eater too... well I actually have two picky eaters as DS older sister doesn't eat great either.? What I noticed with DS though is that he only eats one good meal a day.? If he eats a lot for lunch he will not eat great for dinner and if he barely touches his lunch he will eat great at dinner.? Also... I had to take away his morning snack and feed him lunch a little early because he was getting full on snacks and...

The expectation in customer service is that you go the extra mile and you gain repeat customers. The extra mile would not have been walking everything up the steps and rubbing my feet, but perhaps just helping me get things inside, out of the cold, away from the lawn mowers that were one door down...you know, actually giving a crap about someone other than himself. I worked for that company for several years and am very familiar with their...

Double Stroller

I have a 6 week old and an almost 22 month old and I opted to not get a double stroller and thus far it has been fine. For DS, I have something similar to a Snap and Go and DD has an umbrella stroller that I can also use. For going to the grocery store, Target, Sam's Club, etc. I put DD in a cart and I either wear DS or I put him in the stroller (push the stroller and pull the cart), or I put him in the car seat in the basket of the cart...

I ignore DD's outbursts. If something is actually wrong she will come to me and if she is crying she knows she gets no attention. She has to use her words. Without words she gets nothing. Also, let her hurt herself, then just listen for a bit. Then you will learn the slight difference between I am hurt crys and I am frustrated crys. I'm a though love kind of person. It worked so well with...

Good googly go have we had this problem. My son was jumping out of his crib so we had to move him to a toddler bed. Let's just say things haven't been going well. I stopped going in there at night because my husband has had better success putting him back down. Last night my husband went in and said, "Mommy is sleeping. Daddy is sleeping. H is sleeping and you need to sleep." He walked ...

We didn't really fight with our about dinner. What I had in front of her were things she would eat or at least one point or another has ate. I did eventually take most of everthing off her plate except 2 pieces of meat (about pinky nail size), a few green beans and a noodle or two just to downsize her plate in hopes she would get something in. Which failed. The fighting was more her crying ...

DS is getting a Cars 3-wheel scooter, a toy firehouse with firetruck, a rug with roads to drive toy cars on, 2 tonka trucks, and some new books. Grandparents also got him Cars cars. I got the older Tag reader for my preschooler and I am sure he will borrow that, I am not doing the Junior version.
For his birthday DS is getting a Coast Guard playset and a toy airplane. His grandfather also ...

I'm expecting #2 in June so I'm thinking about moving ds into the room next door to his and moving the new baby into ds's old room. I feel like I just did a baby room and I still love the way it looks so I'm not really going to change anything. I'm exciting about making a toddler room now! Anyone have any pics of their toddler/big boy rooms they'd like to share? I need ideas!

I could never see myself as a mom... my mother and I have a...not so great relationship so I was afraid of that happening with me and my children. But then one day I just realized that I wanted my children... every now and then I still have my old fears but I have to brush them away and just tell myself that it is only up to me not to become that kid of mother that I had. And no I can't even ...

Somewhere in the middle.
This is c&p from an old AP thread, but most of this applies more here than it did there.
We co-sleep. We selectively vax on a delayed schedule. We don't do CIO. We bathe together. I used a sling for a short period of time, then I frequently used the baby bjorn carrier. We don't spank. We're currently considering homeschooling.

Just a couple of quick things....
1.) Clorox wipes don't contain bleach. (from their website...)
Q. Do Clorox® Disinfecting Wipes contain bleach?
A. No. Clorox® Disinfecting Wipes are made with a bleach-free formula that's available in Fresh Scent, Lemon Fresh, Kitchen and Lavender scents so they leave a light, clean scent every time you wipe off a surface.
2.) ...

Nope, Leslie. People get more rude everywhere, everyday. :( it's really sad. Everyone could benefit from a good lesson in Southern Hospitality.
