I would only use Searcy for a boy and if it were a family name. I know a family with this surname and they actually pronoune it Sear-cee, so there could be pronunciation issues if you use it. How about Sheridan or Skylar for a little girl? Or Maren, Rory, Quinn, Delaney, Finlay, Flannery, Hadley, Paige, Brynn, Blair or Morgan?

I think both are lovely names, and like you, think Mia is pretty and spunky.? But Catherine is a family name & Cate, to me, is an equally fun nn and rather cute.? I think Catherine would go well with Alexandra's name as they're both longer names that can be shortened.? But I do truly like both names and think both would serve Alexandra's sister well.

I prefer Mia, or Emilia/Amelia nn Mia, but Emily is fine too.?

Some more names, what do you think?

As I've said on some of your other threads, I do have quite a bias, but IMO Miranda outshines the other choices on your list by miles. I like the combo of Miranda Paige, but some other thoughts: Miranda Claire Miranda Jane Miranda Charlotte Miranda Evelyn Miranda Naomi Miranda Hope Miranda Laurel Miranda Louise Miranda Simone Miranda Nadine

Fleur is a play on Florence, who was one of my great grandmothers :) I like the sugguestion of Augustus, though I prefer Augustine, and I LOVE Oliver, but it's still rising on the charts so I doubt i'd ever use it. Graham is a name i've always liked, but we have a close family friend who is about 10 and that's his name. Cormac is interesting I'll have to give that more thought ? I also like Malcolm. and Edmund was on...

Miranda Paige gmv. Hailey always sounds like a little girl to me, and the L names and Double L names have skyrocketed in popularity: http://nameberry.com/blog/2009/03/17/lola-lily-baby-names-in-la-la-land/

Great names all around! Starting with the girls, there are so many names I like on your list so I'd better just give you the three I'd pick first. In no particular order:
1) I've been crushing on Miriam lately so I'm glad to see it on your list. I think Miri is a precious nn too. Don't know how well Miriam Catherine flows, but I still love Miriam. Natalie, Liam, & Miriam - sweet....

Nice picks all around & so many great family names. Clara Beatrice & Virginia Beatrice (nn Ginny) would be lovely (I knew a Ginny, formal name Virginia, in collage). I like Hannah too but it's more common I think. And as lovely as Emeline is I think she'd be lumped together with all the Emma's & Emily's. Fiona, Victoria, & Charlotte are my favorites from the second list, but I'm a bit ...

We have a complicated last name too. We decided to not let it hinder our naming choices. We went with something somewhat complicated (easy really, but unusual so no one seems to be able to manage it) for our DD's first name as well. We know she'll have to pronounce her last name everywhere but "thems the breaks" as my grandmother would say. I don't think you should let your child's ...

For me it's a real toss up between Brianna Johnston & Penelope Johnston, but end the end I chose Penelope.

I like the names you chose for your DS's and think Maegan is pretty, but I also think that Maeson & Maegan are too close and that you should listen to your inner voice and choose a name you absolutely love for your one & only DD. Best wishes & congratulations!

gorgeous. gorgeous. gorgeous. Plus, not common, which I think is almost the most important consideration. Maisy is a name I could eat up with a spoon! Love the whole thing! Perfection.

One name I really love and would highly consider using if my baby is a girl is Violet. DH hates it....so it's not even a possibility.

I would have never thought of using Jupiter.
It's different and definitely has personality.

I really like Cora. It's a very sweet name and goes well with Beau. I prefer a family name in the mn slot...and my vote goes to Cora Mae.

I love Lucille. To me a Lucille is generous, intelligent, someone you go to for support. If I had a Lucille her nn would be Lucy and Lucy makes me think of a little girl who is fun, happy, and loving.

Hmmm...not sure if I love it. I'm all for off-beat names, and I'd sure use Alasdair over Jaden or Jacob, but I don't think it strikes quite the right vibe with Donovon. It seems a little too old-school British, while Donovon has more of a modern, maybe Italian?? flair. Maybe a bit of southern gent, too. I'd see a name like Rhett or Beauregard going with Donovon. I don't hate it, though. It just ...
