Published (2009-11-29 21:46:22)
Thanks ladies! He sipped pedialyte for the rest of the afternoon and hasnt vomited since this morning. I gave him 3oz of formula at about 2pm or so and he managed to keep that down so I just now gave him another 3oz and he is asleep in the swing. We will see if he can keep it down! When he threw up last night he threw up formula that had been in his belly for several hours so I want to make sure he keeps this formula down. I am not forcing...

Pink eye or not?
Published (2009-11-29 12:03:27)
Does he have a cold. Sometimes a cold can cause a back-up in the eyes without pink eye. That happened to me last year and in the past. Irritated eyes without the pink eye. For now, keep his eyes clean with a warm washcloth. Use baby soap on a warm, wet washcloth to clean. Keep his stuff away from the rest of the family. If you are breastfeeding, you can put a drop of breastmilk in the eye to help combat the pink eye before you go to the...

I'd do nothing. Its not even classified as a low grade fever until 100.4, so you're just barely there. Take it again in 30 minutes, it could be environmental.

Are you Black Friday shopping?
Published (2009-11-26 14:00:10)
NO! First of all, it is just going to be me and DD because DF has to work, and I refuse to go stand out in the crowds with a squirmy, cranky baby who is teething and is getting over a cold. I'm just going to sleep in and then do a thorough cleaning of the house, go through old baby clothes, etc. Oh and catch up on all the Lifetime movies on the dvr and snuggle with DD!

What will you call it?
Published (2009-11-28 00:00:00)
Wierd question: What will you call your LO's private area to him/her when they are potty training? I was changing DS earlier and I caught myself calling his weiner the italian word for it because that's what my family did!

Try changing the membrane (the white, flappy part) on your pumping parts. I have a Medela PIS and the membranes just wore out. If new membranes don't work, I'd get a new pump. Try the Medela PIS. They are a bit pricey, but worth the money. I exclusively pump and have been using this machine since February. It's held up really well.

That's another thing, by the time she gets to sleep at night it is usually 10 or so and then she will sleep until like 9 or 10 and then won't want to take a nap. Again when I try to lay her down she wakes up, so she has been only sleeping when I am holding her. And then she will want to take a nap at like 4!! I started thinking maybe I was letting her get overtired so I started getting her to ...

Can you try to BF him in a dark quiet room during the day? When my oldest is napping I can normally get Grady to feed well if I go into his bedroom, turn off the lights and feed him. He is also over stimulated during the day.

I would check his temp. The shivering could mean he has a fever.

Did you have a name for your baby by the time he/she was born or did you choose it afterwards? We had Grayson's name chosen even before I got pregnant :)

If you do find a pattern, let me know!! I have seen them on the web and some people even found people that make them cheaper then the originals, but still out of my price range. I am pretty sure I could make one if I could get a pattern or see one on person to base a pattern on. I think a car seat poncho would be great for my baby girl since she hates being restricted but needs to stay warm...

Oh my! You poor thing! I must have missed any posts about this before, but how many times has this happened? I'm so sorry you're going through this, you definitely don't deserve this. I can't tell you "just leave" because I know that's easier said than done, but if he promised he wouldn't do it again it's obvious his word doesn't mean shit. You and your LO deserve more respect and love than that...

Here is a link to the exact seat we got for Logan and I LOVE it. it's not too big for our car and it so comfy for him. I like the length of use for weight limits too.

I know this isn't my group, but I've been through this..
IMO all kids are different, so pedi's don't really know "exactly" when your child will be ready for table food. Only know between what months your LO's digestive will be able to handle table food. If your giving LO table food and they are not throwing up, no reaction, and still pooping then I would just give them table food. With the ...

Of course we don't mind the jump! i'm going to recommend the My Pal Violet. You can program it to say your LO's name.

I'll make you feel better. Baby does STTN most nights and has since he was 3 months. But, DD, who will be 4 years old in March, still does not STTN. DS1 didn't STTN until 4.5 years old. Thank goodness for co-sleeping!! Even when I had two kids nightwaking and night eating, I managed to get plenty of sleep. Sometimes I even nudge baby awake to feed him in the middle of the night when DD ...
