a little confused about time

Your chart link doesn't work. You need to go to the Homepage setup on the Sharing tab on the left hand side. Generally your temp would be lower if you temp early. But, without seeing your chart it's impossible to tell when O might be.

What thermometer do you use?...
Published (2009-12-16 00:00:00)
I did that too my first cycle charting, & noticed the same thing.? However, I have 2 thermometers, so when I thought one was wonky, I used the other one, & it happened, too. You've gotta remember, these bbts measure to the tenths & hundredths of a degree, & in your last comment, you're talking about hundredths of a degree difference.? So as Sally mentioned above, even slight movements (such as opening & closing...

Hang in there - when I got off bc, I had to take clomid because after 2 years I was still have 80 day cycles.? But some bounce right back.

You have the temp of the thermometer changing the temp of your mouth too..? I know where I'm at it's COLD, and I usually try to warm up my therometer before I use it so it doesn't make everything cold down there.. You're always suppossed to use the 1st temp, and disreguard everything else. Those temps are really close anyway, probably would BARELY move the dot on your chart..

Big rise in Temp, but not O time

It's probably?just one weird temp.?I think you should just wait and see what your temps do the next 2 or 3 days.

More temping/OPK issues...
Published (2009-12-16 00:00:00)
I have been using OPKs and have not gotten a positive. CD14 is the first day I saw any color in the test area at all. It definitely wasn't positive though. I have been using two per day, both on CD14 had color and since then they have gotten progressively lighter. Now there is barely a line at all. I know it is normal for them to go from lines to being blank before the positive, but now my temp has gone up too. It has only been two days...

what do i do in this situation?

IMO, I would discard it. My first temp was discarded because I only slept about an hour before temping 2 hours earlier than my alarm!

Hi ladies,
Without using OPKs, is it possible to anticipate when is ovulation based on the temperatures before ovulation?
So far i've learnt that we need to have 3 sustained increases in temperatures, higher than the previous 6 to ensure ovulation had ocurred. But is there any way to know if I've ovulated before the 3 sustained increases occur?

I couldn't look at your chart, it brought me to mine. But it sounds like you might have had a ramp-up - which means your body was trying to O and failed to release the egg. This is how you post a link to your chart:
Hover your mouse over the word “sharing” to the left of your chart. Then click on “home page set-up.” At the top of the new page you’ll see “ Your Charting Home Page ...

It's funny you say stress because this has been the most stress-free month (surprising, since it's Christmas time...haha). That's why I thought it was kinda weird that I O'd late. Usually I would be freaking out that it's this late, but I've really just been going with the flow. Thanks though -- we'll see :)

Hi Rachel - I know that some people don't temp during AF but I have been charting for about 1.5 years and I always do. I think as someone just starting out, and at least until you get to know your cycles better, I would temp during AF. Maybe for me it is just a security thing that I can't give up though :) I like to know what my temps typically do at every stage of the cycle so that would ...

I think your temps can be high during AF, not positive though. I would just keep temping and see what happens.

Could be a ramp up to O'ing. I have no idea about anemia and temps. I would tend to think no but that's my very non-dr advice.

I am new to charting/temping.
I am wondering if that temp dip could have been an implantation dip? I am 9dpo... and dying to test!

when i noticed CM just before my period was expected, i looked it up in " taking charge of your fertility" and read that it is likely the shedding of the corpus luteum. that happens if fertilization doesn't occur, just before your period.

Thanks Sarah. Is it normal for a temp to dip then spike then dip again before AF??

I'd say either cd 21 or 23. Your cm doesn't line up with your temps at all, and your temps are the more reliable source. Are you on advanced or FAM? FAM tends to be a more accurate setting, despite what FF says. You usually have to wait until about 10dpo to get a +, so I would wait until at least Monday to test. Your chart does look good though!!!

Why is CD7 discarded?
With your temps the way they are it looks like you just ovulated on CD15 to me. I see you haven't gotten EWCM yet based on your CM. Usually it's a very good indicator of O and temps confirm it.
