If it's heavy at all, it's probably got several pees in it. You' probably would not even be able to tell it was wet if it only had 1 pee in it, so she might be peeing more than you think!

how is her pregnancy going, it would be better for me to answer if I had a little background. You could get her a gift certificate to get a mani and a pedi at her favorite nail salon.

Playtex bottles & nipples
Published (2009-12-02 12:05:33)
My DS hated the drop ins. They didn't work well for him. We ended up using the Dr Browns till he was about 7 months. We got rid of them because we had to wash them by hand and it took us 45 mintues to wash 8 bottles. Too much time. We now use the Playtex Ventairs or Airvents. He loves them.

I put my LO with long sleeve onesie, then fleece PJs and 2 blankets. But my problem is DS keeps kicking off his blanket so he wakes up really cold. I've ordered a sleep bags so I'll see if that keeps him warm with blankets. I've posted this and gotten a lot of response so it might help you too. community.babycenter.com/talk/a1933...

does your father ignore your kid
Published (2009-11-28 00:00:00)
SO's father is not a huge holder of DS, but my dad loves having him and taking him around to show him things in their house. When he was a bit younger he would hold him only if I made him. My dad has a ton of grand children and he has told my mom that my son is his favorite. I don't remember him paying this much attention to other grandkids when they were younger. LOL. If it matters SO's father is in his 50s and my father is in...

Tummy sleeping
Published (2009-11-30 22:40:36)
My ped says that you should always put the baby on their backs to sleep at night but what they do after that is their own business. However, they can nap on their tummy as long as it is supervised.

I'm also interested in hearing what people think about this product.
My fiancee came home one day from a friend of a friend's house last month and their baby who was born 2 weeks before ours (ours is now 2months) was watching these dvds. He said she played them for all her kids and they are great, but other than that i didn't hear much more about them. He looked it up online and we watched ...

Use vinegar on anything and everything that touches the baby's mouth or your breasts. That includes, washing bras, towels, sheets, burp cloths, etc in one cup of vinegar (it doesn't make them smell), wipe your breasts with it before and after feeding, any teething toys, etc. There is also an OTC medicine called (something) violetta (sorry, I don't remember the whole name) that you can wipe in ...

I went through this also. its from teething give him some tylenol before bedtime.also before bed a bed time bottle. when he wakes up if he falls asleep while feeding him then thats a sign he doesnt need that feeding. so the next night let me"cry it out" of soothe him back to bed. this is letting him no theres no need to be up.

Totally up to you on the pacifier. We replaced it when we used the Ferber method w/DD at 6 months. You just may need to wean her of the paci when she's older. I personally thought it was kind of cruel to take it away from her when it soothes her. When she gets a little older she'll be able to find and replace it on her own.
Also up to you on nap training, but I think you're smart to do it all...

No I have not, just x-rays. I might agree that if your baby does have a severly flatted head to invest in the helmet. My friend had a son with this same problem and it is still not fixed all the way and he is now 4. If you wait to long for it to "fix" itself it may not you will regret that in the end . But you also have to be comfortable with your doctor if you are not you need to look else ...

He is still really young. Waking up in the night for feedings is completely normal for babies that age. Its really tough now but i promise it does get better.

Clean warm washcloth, like Mommy said, and massage the inner corner of her eyes. My DD is 11 months and she's had this problem since birth. Up until a few months ago, it was both eyes but one cleared up and the other hasnt. There are days where its good and days where its bad. She has an appointment with an opthamologist for a consult...she might have to have it opened up.
I really hope your ...

Distraction... Take him to play with something else... Look out the window, play tickle or "I'm gonna get you".. That's about all you can do. Say no, that will hurt you, etc.
Get whatever he's getting into put away and out of sight. That will help you out the most.
Spanking (I won't discipline with it) they won't understand anyway, especially at 9 months.

I wasn't sure which group to post in so i picked babies because I figure ppl in here would know how to help me deal with this little issue....
My soon to be step mother in law wants a baby really bad..she can't have one because her husband is "fixed" and they can't adopt because of some old legal issues with his ex wife... she's only 30, nine years older than me, and at first was really upset...

We used to have DD in an infant so she could go into other cars easily, but now she is in a convertable. It is too much to take it out and install in another vehicle. I would say have one in each vehicle you use most. So if LO is with you and grandma a lot, but hardly in dads car, skip dads or get a less expensive one for dads.

We used soap from the beginning. DS was washed in soap for his first bath in the hospital -- and he was a preemie. When we brought him home, we continued to use soap and bathe him just a couple of times a week. (Babies really don't get all that dirty!) At about 3 months, we started bathing him every day -- not really because he needed it, but because it's part of his bedtime routine.
I ...

Babies cry for wet diapers, need of attention, hot or cold, or just uncomfortable so you may want to start timing the time in between the feedings such as from 2 to 3 hours...in the beginning my son ate every 2 hours then I started giving him an ounce more and he does every 3 hours...but yeah try to eliminate the reasons for crying to prevent overfeeding...feeding too much is like every hour ...

I'm not done with my pregnanct but I had one at 8weeks, one at 12weeks, and my anatomy scan at 18weeks in 11days. but i was told that after the gender scan, i'll probably only have 1, maybe 2 more from 20-40 weeks. So, 4-5 for me.

The only thing I can tell you is when my YDS was born he also failed his hearing test in his left ear 3 times in the hospital. But at his one week appointment he passed. The doctor thought that he had fluid in his ear (he was delivered by c/s). It is a scary thing to deal with, so good luck! Hopefully everything turns out for the best.

Just try to keep him off of the side he prefers. My DD had a stiff left side of her neck and prefered to always look to her right. It all started in utero, and she was never diagnosed w/torticollis, but she ended up having a flat spot there, as well as flatness all in the back. She did end up having to get a DOC band to correct this and it did, but I wished that when she was that little, I ...
