Long Car Ride
Published (2009-11-30 00:00:00)
Our first long trip in awhile will be for Christmas, it's only a 3 hour drive each way so I'm really hoping Jackson sleeps the whole way, lol. ?If not, I have a few ideas. ?You might buy (or download and burn) a few toddler CDs. ?My LO loves his toddler songs and has his favorites that always cheer him up when he's cranky in the car. Also, maybe a few new toys specifically for the trip. ?You can pack them away in a bag...

Honestly I didn't find there was much we needed.? Like you, we have two of the same sex.? Although you'll need some new clothes if they're born in different seasons you will find you'll be able to use some of the same clothes regardless.? Hands down, the most important piece of baby gear I have is my double stroller.? I have gotten a lot of use out of it.? It's good if you're doing some shopping, but we used to...

Friday, ask the doctor about asthma starting. This is how ODD started! They never labeled her asthmatic until much years later, hoping she would outgrow it. She didnt! He said he tried not to label to early because kids outgrow it alot of the time, and if you label to early, thats another prexisting condtion that insurance could stick you with.

Potty Training?
Published (2009-12-01 00:00:00)
I never had just one book that I got ideas from. It was mainly internet research and hand-outs from the pediatrician that helped the most! Also, personal experiences from other moms was amazing too! To start out I just kept an eye on her elimination schedule. Like I knew she usually pooped in the morning right after breakfast. So,?I?just bought the potty chair. The first time I set her on it at that certain time, she pooped and peed in it. We...

Get the bathroom very steamy and sit in there with her for about 10 minutes before she goes to bed, that should help she sleep. Warm juice (watered down) helps my son when he is coughing. When my son gets sick I never worry about how much he eats, I just push the fluids and feed him whatever he wants to eat but I never push food (did once, and got thrown up on!) It never hurts to take them to ...

I am wondering if anyone could recommend any good baby dolls for our LOs. I would like to get her one for xmas, but am overwhelmed by all that is out there. I think I would like to find a simple doll, that she can carry around and such, but am clueless. Does anyone already have one that their LO loves to play with?
Thanks!

I don't have one yet, but we always get my son a present for when we fly with him. This is what I am going to get for our next flight. Hopefully, he'll like it!

Ok, this is kind of a stretch, but maybe someone here can help.
I have recently been feeding Logan the Gerber Lil Appetizers. He LOVES them! BUT they are very expensive! On sale (with a coupon) they run about $1.60 each... but they are a complete meal and the perfect size for him.
But, I'm wondering if anyone knows of containers that are sold that emulate the containers that these Lil...

Remember, Einstein didn't talk till he was 3.
As long as you feel he's trying to communicate with you in some way, I don't think you should worry.

My DD is already day trained and almost night trained. We started right around 12 months and she was 100% day time trained by 13 months, 3 weeks. By day trained I mean wearing underwear ALL day, no pull ups, and her coming and actually telling me she has to go potty. The whole process was super easy and stress free. She caught on amazingly quick and hasn't had an accident in months. She is 15 ...

YES! My DD climbs up and on everything. She really got good around Halloween when i had a big bowl of candy sitting on my kitchen table. she figured out how to pull the chairs out and climb up on them to the table and dump all the candy on the floor. Right now she is loving takeing her little toy broom and using it to knock things off the counters and get pictures off the fridge!

I know how you feel! Our DD is just a week or so older than your DS, and she just started walking about two days ago. For about the past month, she was doing what your DS is doing... taking a few steps, falling or just sitting down, and then crawling away. And even now, I wouldn't say she's walking 100%. She can't get herself into a standing position without help or without pulling herself ...

If it were me, I would say something. I named my son Connor James and told everyone before he was born that CJ was not allowed. I hate CJ!
Ironically, the person most likely to call him that hates one of my nicknames for him. I call him monkey and she doesn't like it because she feels it is a racist term.
Eh. My kid, my rules.

I wouldn't be worried at all. Unless she has continued ear-aches (which could hinder her hearing, which in turn hinders her reproduction of words).
Logan babbles a ton, points and says "dat, dat" but nothing coherent. He says "dat dat" for dog and cat and, well, pretty much everything :-)
We go to his 18 month appt on February 1st - long ways away.
His almost 2 year old cousin (will ...

Not being critical, but honestly I don't think there's anything that you should need to register for. The only thing(s) I can think of would be those items that could help your younger child have their own identity.
i.e. a new bedding set, a few new outfits (esp if seasons are going to be different), some lovies, books, etc. Just items that will not only be unique for your younger child ...
