GS Vs. GTX Vs. Kaw 900

well I am not sure about the reliability of the older supercharged 4 tecs, but if they are reliable I guess that would be the best option if you can get it really cheap. But it will be heavier then the older GTX which means not as playful or good at wave jumping. My Aunt has a 06 GTX NA and it is just down right pathetic at wave jumping.

Like this https://www.wamiltons.com/index.php?...roducts_id=433 Jerry had one at one time I think but don't know if he liked it. You can do an RXX hood cheaper and loose 20lb's but you have 14 holes to fill on the sides once you remove the stock hood. If you are not painting the ski the one above would be way easier.

I did a slow charge on the battery and now the low voltage light went away, I never had a voltage problem even with an almost dead battery so I'm buying a new battery, something with a good brand, I hope this takes care of it.

Any fogging oil will be fine. I use CRC Fogging Oil. The BRP stuff is too expensive for an item I use when the engine is not running. As far as lubing the throttle body lube, mine has a little hose running to the top of the engine with a yellow cap that you spray the lube into. Maybe the older ones did not

I'd stay away from the Kawa... The GTX if it's got the 787cc motor was a fast ski for it's day, it likes gas though...
The others should be perfect to cruise along at 40, don't expect a ton more, but great fuel consumption. Sometimes I miss my 93 GTS with a 580cc...
Just make sure the compression checks out on them and they are water ready.

Try slow charging the battery. From what I read here, the Doo's charging system will keep a good battery up while running, but will neither charge a dead battery nor produce enough juice to run on a weak/dead bettery.
