Yeah man, that is odd. Maybe it's in line with how plants react to extreme stress. Should be interesting to see what comes out, perhaps you have a super strain. In which case I call dibs on first cuttings.

Nope, the bulbs glass was all wrinkled near the base and I saw a Burn mark near where it met. So Im gonna have to send it back... As of right now I have 5 26w 6500k CFLs going.. I dont think its enough, I have another one its a 2700k, but I ran out of sockets so I gotta go get more. I'm probably going to add lots more light

The CFL SCROG I did came out great, and the lights were all over the place. The entire point of the screen is to force your plants to grow where YOU want them.

word, yea. def follow my advice and train the top as much as you can without stressing the plant. do it day by day to ensure zero stress. you should add side lighting if you can in addition. if not, your light source is like 2-3 ft from the mid-low growth. yield will be heavily reduced. for a plant that big, it is not efficient to just grow the top. you will be much happier if you get a few more lights on the side.

i just skimmed ur post, but i did not really see a question in there.
looks good right now tho, everything seems to be ideal. plants look very healthy. do u have a fan on that sucker? the stem looks a bit thin, get a fan to strengthen it. looks good toher than that man. what strain? goodluck.

dude for real? You need to relax, you're OCD about your plants. Germ takes anywhere from 24hours to 5days.
Are you keeping them at room temps or slightly warmer?
Are they in 100% darkness?
Are the paper towels moist or wet? Wet is bad, you pretty much just need them moist.
Use a ziplock bag or Tupperware, once a or twice a day you should check and waft some fresh air in.

A lot of people do that. If they cant have two separate areas for flowering and vegging. Yield might suffer a lil bit.

Honestly it isn't worth scrapping unless you have 0 dollars to invest in your project. I would not just try and mask the smell because even a masked smell arouses suspicion. Does your landlord check up a lot? I never see mine yet alone does she come by.
If you can somehow vent the closet buying a carbon scrubber (looking a few $100) I would do that. If it's just for fun and you do not want...

3700 lumens, that sounds like those big equivalent 300w's Right? or 150w? either way, the rule of thumb for CFLs is 1 26w bulb will grow it. But x2 26w will promote bushier healthier growth. As long as you have about 3000-4000 lumen's on one plant you will be ok.
But as far as all the way through no. You want x2 26-27w 6500k (daylight, look for blue markings) CFLs per plant to vegetate with, so...

Use a plastic zip lock bag not plates and put them in them by a window. Keep them in the moist paper towel though. It can take anywhere from 1 to 2 weeks to germ., but usually with that method I have been successful with in 3 days and 10 seeds.

lol, thats pretty funny man because i just built my bubblebucket out of the very same 5 gal bucket from lowes today. i think it's going to work great. i completely covered it in aluminum tape that i got there too. are you going to use a water pump and an air pump or just the airpump with airstones?

it wont be enough in the long run but, you have a good start these should get you thru most of veg. eventually when plant gets big you will need some on the sides. just put the ones you got on some y's and get going!
