hey dude have you looked into something like this, we used to use things like this when i was a DJ, you may want to look at some dj sites they usually have very effective sound proofing acoustic foam treatment sound proofing tiles efoam on eBid.net United Kingdom

While we're on the topic. I've been researching as much as I can about the energy creation process and it seems that this is a complex issue that may or may not have any basis. I really don't want to talk out of my arse, so this is just all conceptual for me. When the temperatures are a little higher the rate of transpiration must increase drawing more water, and therefore nutrients, through the leaves. K, Ca, and Mg are...

You will get a cross, but it's not cloning and doubtful you will have invented your own strain. Many commercial strains have already been cross-bred against each other. It's a moot point, though -- with bagseed you don't know the genetics so you can't even begin to address the issue of strain. Doesn't matter, if the results are good plants that yield good bud then grow on.

Well HID lights are useful as they put off heat. But I've found that Clay Pots retain heat well. Hope This helps

there is a book out called "Buds for Less". you can download it here for free it's a PDF file. i would post it for you but it's too big and GC won't take it the book takes you through the whole grow from start too finish.

nah but seriously, I guess minimising odor, and try to let as few people know you're growing as possible.
Oh and dont have a flatmate if possible, at least not one that had a court bailiff coming round to search the house randomly one lunchtime... or was that just me :P

I think what you're looking for is called "Foamcore" which can be found at MOST craft stores. This isn't going to do the job very well and will probably be a disappointment. There is also a material called "Gatorboard" which is MUCH MORE DIFFICULT to find, but more suited to what you're looking for. Gatorboard is more expensive though, so it's a matter of choice.

I'm not sure about 100 W per square foot... that would mean that in a 4x4 foot room you'd need 1600 W... which is WAY, way too much. The rule of thumb I go for is 100 W for the first plant, and 50 for each subsequent plant... minimum. I like 100 Per plant. Just make sure the fluoro's are as close as possible to the lights.

Keep an eye out for signs of potassium, calcium, and magnesium problems at the higher temps but mine are fine at that range.
