That's what it sounds like to me.
Good excuse for an upgrade. Oho.

I do think they instill a false sense of safety, the system can fail, and as a driver that drives with out them can tell you if you mash that stop pedal too hard your wheels lock and you have
no control, if you so used to the car keeping that from happening you can certainly crash.
Given that I do like the extra control those systems can give when used correct.

I believe there is a relay that sends the temperature reading to the gauge.
I'm guessing that went bad. I couldn't tell you where it is or what it
looks like, but if gauges fail it's usually due to a bad relay. Do a search
and see if you can find anything. If not, I'm sure an electrical guru will
reply shortly...

For what application ?
I would say NGK Iridium IX, part # TR55IX spark plugs.
It is what GM uses in the later model years GA's.
(GM had NGK make their
iridium spark plugs.)
& replace the spark plug wires too, if it has been a while.
The AC Delco ones are ok/good enough.

hows it running?
at first i would think fuel filter is getting clogged, but also maybe the pump is begging to fail.
Have you done any kind of
tuneup lately?

If it's coming up in a number of spots I'd just buy a new strip. That or
use some sort of
adhesive at each spot, but then you'll probably end up
ripping more off to get the adhesive under there.

Guess Ill reply to this in case someone else has the problem and its searchable . Having the instrument cluster out of the car was the whole reason the front
parking lights and fog lights didnt work . Put the cluster back in and like magic all is well again .
