Hypocrisy

Indeed, hypocrisy does not disprove the principle. Hypocrisy is just an instance that shows the principle is a principle and not a description of the world. To claim otherwise is to pretend as if, for example, murder becomes alright provided that you can find a murderer who claims people shouldn't murder.

If you're going to be picky, no they shouldn't, but it's hardly something to lose sleep over if you did.

Well, say you're riding your bike and you've worked up a good speed. It's a hot summer day, but the wind is blowing rather heavily in your face. At some point there's a high speed impact and a TINY HUMMINGBIRD gets lodged down your throat and you somehow manage to swallow it! YOU ARE NO LONGER A VEGAN. You'll have to start all over again tomorrow. Quote: Originally Posted by T?tmouse If you're going to be picky,...

Ffs, I made a good post again, but forgot to copy it, so it's gone. Aelius, I must say you are very well informed, I don't expect anyone from Ontario to know anything about Geert Wilders Anyway, I don't feel like re-writing everything now, but I would like to ask why on earth you (=ultros) post such silly material. I'm glad you know it's propaganda, but why even take it serious then? Those numbers couldn't be any...

I don't have much of a moral opposition to it in the sense that most people do. My opposition is that of legal principle. I don't think the state should have the right to decide whether or not you live or die, assuming you're not in violation of other people's right to life.

I think the vast majority of it is bollocks, and the fact I don't know anyone by name would suggest that no one has been able to proven themselves sufficiently to who ever concerned.
Do I think its impossible, now or at a future stage of evolutionary development, no.

War criminals and the like.
How should they be dealt with, if at all?
The UK is signed up to international law where any crime that is severe enough can be tried in the UK no matter where it was committed. So in theory, if Mugabe came here he could be arrested and tried for torture etc and imprisoned here.

Is it really a Christian v Islam war? I thought it was more a Islam v non Islam war.
I don't really think it will ever happen, Al-Qaeda interpretation of the Qur'an is that it is their duty to god to convert all to Islam using any means possible.

It's not just our monarchy... it's yours, too. She's the queen of Canada too. I don't understand your feelings at all... they don't actually do anything bad. Prince Charles is all about being green, you've got the Duke of Edinburgh award scheme, both Princes are involved in charity and the queen is an old dear.
How are they selfish? Because they've got money and you haven't?

No. They only understand it, at best, in terms of the Libertarian Party, which is not necessarily Libertarianism.
