all right - I did a little reading on making a router into a repeater, and it looks like I'll get frustrated enough to throw it out the window.... so I am looking at getting this: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg...X0DER&v=glance

Congratulations! You have spyware! Download Malwarebytes and run it. To prevent this issue from returning, I use Spybot S&D. It will help prevent some of those pop-ups from ever starting. You may also want to schedule a "boot time" virus scan with Avast. It may find the issue by itself. Be sure and keep it all updated, and run a full check occasionally.

It will be our secondary computer. DH is going to Germany for a week for work so that's what we're getting it for, then we'll use it as a secondary after that. As long as he doesn't have to go BEFORE BF I'll be checking out the one at Staples for $300!

bought a set of 4 with base and answering machine at big lots for the price of one at other stores. They work great and they were cheap enough to not worry about the reviews as long as they work. And if they would not have worked i would have taken them back.

In regards to the internet connection speed, I have a 1MBps (megabyte per second) speed for my internet and I play online without any real problem. Game selection is better for the XBOX. However, you have to pay to play online (~$45 year) with the XBOX. Also, with the XBOX, there are some pretty pricey accessories that you may need. It is true you need a disc for the STREAMING part of the ...

This might be the ticket, I will have to check and make sure we have the right slots available. Also it doesn't say if it will work with Windows 7 but we don't plan to stop using the old XP PC if it works.

When creating the poll, choose the option:

Make votes public: Displays all users who voted, and what choice they voted for.
This has to be done when creating a poll.
You can't do it after the fact.

There is an error message that pops up in that BSOD. Can you tell us what it is?
If you think it is the TV tuner, unplug that piece of hardware and see if it works. Also, you may also try to "reseat" the memory and other assorted cables.

Apple does this with Mac OS.
They charge $49 for the Family Pack which has up to 5 computers for a upgrade.
It is good to see MS doing something like this.

You could also buy a wireless router and "turn off" the routing. It would act similar to a repeater and give you that ethernet hookup you need. It will also boost your wireless signal in the area. You could get one for about $30-$40 one-time fee.

The Coby is $339.99 and the Panasonic is $389.99. On paper the Coby is slightly better, unless you need three HDMI inputs, but it also depends on how you feel about the name Coby. I remember them as making cheap-o portable radios in the 80s, but then again...

They do make portable printers, but they're really designed for traveling salespeople and are easily 3x - 4x the price of regular printers. They also tend to be single sheet fed, which would be a major pain in the butt for multi-page reports. They also run right off of USB and do not require a separate power cord.
But $180 - $350 for a substandard inkjet is not really the way to go.

You should look on ebay . we bought our on there, with 7 games and two controllers and two wii wheels and paid 198 for it - used
also we have found that we dont need alot of stuff.. the wii wheel helps alot because we have mario kart but other than that a controller is fine --we do alot of guitar hero not alot of shooting or war games

You need to post what you would like to do with it.
Most of your inexpensive notebooks are going to be fine for going on the Internet e-mail word processing programs just basic stuff.
If that's the case then look for the notebook that has a big hard drive fast processor for the money you would like to spend.
AMD or Intel does not make much of a difference.
Intel might be faster but I ...

I have never bought a used one but I'm pretty sure you will see a DS lite for $99 between now and BF. Personally she's a little young for a DSi, she would use all the extras it has over DS lite like wifi. And if it matters to you, DSi doesn't play Gameboy Advanced games either.
