You need to find a plane you are comfortable with. Either will work, you just need to find one that works for you and stick to it.

SQB, Sometimes, grip can contribute to draw/hook. Do do you have a strong grip with your right hand? IF so, try shifting the R-hand grip to more neutral position. If you already have neutral grip, then it's something else.

First of all we do not say the "S" word. Get your weight on the balls of your feet. I prefer to see people's knees more so out over your toes. If you start on your heels, you will have to move your weight foreword to push off your left foot. I believe this can cause just enough movement to get you out on to the s word. I would start there. -Beane

How important is a steady head?...
Published (2009-11-13 14:51:30)
Quote: Many tour pros move their heads including Tiger, so it's not always a bad thing. Really? Check this video out: The many times I have seen Tiger's swing analyzed during a tournament right after he makes a shot always shows the same thing - almost no movement of his head whatsoever, especially on the backswing. I personally consider it critical and believe it has helped my swing tremendously.

Yeah. If your head doesn't move you have an awfully good chance of making solid contact. Much better ...

Always used the interlock. Tried overlap and never liked it. I find the feeling better with interlock.
They say , interlocking is better for those with smaller hands but I think that's a red herring.
If interlock was good enough for Jack Nicklaus and is good enough for Tiger Woods, I think the rest of us shouldn't worry too much about the interlock being no good now should ...

Why do you have to pick the ball cleanly out of a fairway bunker? I know you have to but I don't understand why exactly. If you catch the ball cleanly striking down on the ball before you hit the sand what causes it to behave differently? We know from watching slo-mo vids that the ball doesn't actually compress against the ground so what is going on? I understand the club slows down ...

Last Wednesday my boss showed me that I am standing too close to the ball. My hands were almost touching my inner thigh. I have started to stand farther away from the ball and stand up straighter. This is causing my hands to be away from my body, but also me standing up straighter is allowing for a bigger arc, more distance, and a more comfortable feel. It has been very difficult ...

Return2golf,
I would suggest your next practice session involve slow swings to help obtain the "circular" nature of a golf swing. This will teach you how to bring the club from "inside to out".
At the top of your backswing, start the down swing with a gentle push on your front foot. At the same time, your arms should fall naturally. Do not turn yet and wait for just a split ...

You have a nice swing, I especially like your high finish, my golf dad always was trying to get me to finish high like your swing.
I like this video as a basic fundamental to the golf swing.
My only othe comments is to try to keep your rear shoulder slightly lower this help you generate more club head speed.
There are other You Tube sites that are very ...

ive seen this as a drill, to keep a folded towel in the left armpit (for a righty) and to keep it there for the full swing without letting it fall out. my question is, why is this a good drill? what is it supposed to help with?
i tried it the other day on the range using a tee instead of a towel (it only fell out at the very end of the swing when the club was all the way ...

I went to the driving range today and got a 70-ball bucket. I stretched, took some practice swings, and then put a single golf ball down on the grass. I took out a 7 iron, and got myself into the "correct" posture. I put the "correct" grip on the club, and tried keeping everything I had learned about a good golf swing in the back of my mind: twisting my hips on the backswing while ...

I'm not entirely sure I truncate my follow-through, but it's the prime suspect for now. I've never hit a ball twice with a chip, but that does sound pretty funny.
I usually have a 50/50 backswing/follow through, sometimes extending my follow through slightly further just so I'm not stopping it with a jerk. To use the good old clock face, if I'm swinging to parallel with the ground...

I have a feeling tiger woods would pack on some pounds if these two had a strong correlation. The man was probably a very good ball striker as you guessed. He also probably did learn to use his weight to his advantage, but when I was in high school I weighed 150 soaking wet and I could power a 3 iron to around 220. So I think it is really more form than mass.
Look at the 15 ...

It could be that having a frame of reference in which to aim your shot (as in having a fairway, rough, and hazards in front of you instead of an open field) helps you off the tee.

dang i dont even know where to start (no offense), when you say grandma, your not joking, you really do swing super slow.
-you release your lag incredibly early
-your left arm bends quite a bit
-you have a close club face
-you swinging to much with your arms.
-you cast the club and come over the top of the plane, ( come outside in)
-work on keeping your right arm closer ...
