Right (Back) Knee Flex in Backswing

seriously anyone doubting that SnT can work for a better player, please take a look at the World Cup. Yesterday Korea was 8 under in the best ball and I believe Yang only contributed 1 birdie to Korea. Wi was ALL OVER IT.

help with the driver

Appreciate the input guys. Just an update, I have recently been trying the S&T swing and am so far seeing some improvement with the driver. I know not everyone advocates this approach (especially with driver), but having my weight forward is helping me to lower the ballflight. Many of my tendencies (overswing, sway, lifting the club quickly) are less of a factor with S&T, and I have been hitting it pretty solid so far. Thanks...

Rather than give my viewpoint on this I will ask everyone to do this exercise: Stand in front of a full length mirror so you can see your down the line view (pretend you were hitting a ball in the exact opposite direction of the mirror) and make two separate backswings. The first: Hold the flex in the back knee in its entirety...do not allow that knee flex to change one bit and try to turn your hips and swing to the top....should be very...

help with the driver

Along with the previous tips, your backswing also may cause your high shots, without changing your swing to much, if you keep your backswing lower to the ground as natural as possible without swaying back, this will change the angle of contact on your driver and help promote a lower ball flight as well. You could be picking up the club on the backswing quickly and this with the other suggestion might help the ball flight to be lower.

The drill that worked the best for me was to take a rather stiff piece of material like the plastic dowels that are often used for alignment aids and slide it through the hole in your grip so it is sticking out about a meter. Then swing the club and don't let the dowel hit you. Start very slow at first as it will whip you. After time I was able to practice 3/4 speed hits without releasing the club which kept my hands well ahead of the...

Your swing is quite steep, and the swing plane seems to be quite upright. you are crouched a bit much, so try to put the ball closer to you. Other than that, i can't give you much more advice at risk of me telling you something wrong. Some of those shots were nice and they looked pretty long too!

Not really. Hitting fat is a result of either swaying or changing the spine angle during the swing or error in ball position.

Looks pretty good with a low handicap you really gotta do a slow motion next to a tour pro to see some good stuff you can work on.

Hi,
Had a real breakthrough with my swing after reading this article:
http://perfectgolfswingreview.net/pivot.htm
Please take your time and read trough this, try it out, and tell me what you think. I think this article sums up and explaines all the major points with regards to hip movement in the swing.

Lately I've been thinking about the movement of the hips in the downswing. Specifically, after the lateral push towards the target. As you turn through the ball what feeling do you want with the hips? Is it more of a pull through by the front side or a push through by the back side.
This video discusses this topic a bit. What do you guys think?

a) I've never, ever heard of anyone trying to "keep the butt back." I read everything you said and still don't know what you mean.
b) As we've recently discussed, X-Factor is garbage. "Resist with the hips to add torque" is absolutely terrible advice.

Well, that kinda depends ...... club is attached to your arms ... if you just 'fold it' inside with your wrists and armroll you're up the preverbial sh&tcreek ..... you should thinks of a 'one-piece takaway" where the arms travel inside and the club kinda follows that line

Well it's personal preference really isn't it? Tiger hits his fade by holding the club face open with his hands as he hits through the ball.Wheras Nicklaus kept his swing the same, but opened his body to the target, ie. - aim to the left of the target for the right hander, but keeping the clubface square to the target, then swinging on the new line, thus slicing across the ball, ...

Last Wednesday my boss showed me that I am standing too close to the ball. My hands were almost touching my inner thigh. I have started to stand farther away from the ball and stand up straighter. This is causing my hands to be away from my body, but also me standing up straighter is allowing for a bigger arc, more distance, and a more comfortable feel. It has been very difficult ...
