I have a Winn midsize pistol and I do like it. However, it is pretty soft. I am struggling a bit with distance control and thought perhaps a firmer grip would be of benefit but have no idea to be honest what to expect. Would anyone share what grip they have on their putter and why. Particularly as it pertains to firmer than usual grips. But any other grip info appreciated of course. Looking for a new aftermarket shaft and need to find a good...

I have the scotty cameron baby T grip on my putter. That thing rules. Its very durable as well. Best combo of comfort and control ive had in a putter grip. You could also try the pingman grip. Its a very thin grip and its not the most comfortable, but i felt very connected to the whole putter when i used to use it.

They carry all the Wilson Hope stuff, gloves too. My wife plays all Hope and is very happy with them. Bought them at Target. Lots of Calloway stuff there too.

Make sure you get the 2009 if you do get a Vokey. It has red paintfill and the older, square grooves. If you get the 2010 C-C model with yellow paintfill, you would be getting the small grooves. There isnt really a point to getting the newer ones, as the older ones will perform better.

I would say at least $500 maybe $600. You can trade them in and maybe get more for them though. I know the driver is about $100 resold now.

Bought my TM Tour Burners about a year and a half ago. Found some on ebay for 499 when they were 699 everywhere local. I suppose if you are looking to "win" some, the wait may be long.

These are a few I've been looking at:

Any of them would be fine...and within your price range even if you add a memory card it looks like (with the exception of the Zi8).

It depends on the player. A good set of irons can last for years, but with some maintenance (new grips, etc...) and buying a set is always cheaper.
No, it is not necessary to have a gap or lob wedge. The key, though, is to have a solid gap of lofts between your clubs to cover as much yardage as possible with the full shot.
For example, if your PW is 47 degrees and your sand...

These are not advertised through normal golf shops. I have seen online ads for them before, with club loft and other specs, but can't find any now.

Hybrids just don't work for me. I switched clubs his spring ( stiff ---> regular), and for two months played a 21* hybrid instead of a 5-wood.
I hit OK shots out of the medium ruff. BUT... Mr. Hybrid went wherever he wanted when I hit it off the fairway, or off a tee.
I eventually added a 5-wood to the 3-wood, and keep a three iron for specialty shots. (Good driving club on ...

I am having the same problem on short putting. I have a Rife Bimini, which is a Wilson 8802 style, toe down. I putt very well with an arcing stroke on long putts, but can't let the toe release on short putts. Very interested in comments.

From the literature ive read, the differences between 710 AP2 and the 08 models seem more like minor tweeks rather than a performance overhaul. Mostly improvements to the feel of the club. I bet they play exactly the same.

five wins if you count Kim in the Kiwi event.
Nike's philosophy in most sports appears to be to endorse players/teams. Look how many college football and basketball teams have a swoosh on their jerseys. Do you ever see Nike ads for football shoes, no, but you see plenty for Underarmor.

I'm finally ready to spring for a laser range finder. Problem is I have no idea where or what to start looking at. I know they're pretty pricey, so I'm willing to spend. I don't need the very top of the line one, but would like it to be reliable and accurate. So any suggestions would be great, thanks.

Just wondering who bought a new 2009 driver this summer and how they thought it held up compared to your previous driver.
I purchased the FT-9 this summer and have never hit the ball so badly. Mainly the terrible swing I had this summer so I won't fault the club. So I am going to try and play with it this summer and see how I fair.

I bought my wife a set of Aspire clubs at Play It Again for under 200 bucks. For the price, they seem like a good set. There's a driver, 3w, 6i-pw, 25*hybrid, putter, and bag. If she decides she wants to play seriously, we'll upgrade.
(fwiw... I can hit her driver as far and straight as my Nike SQ.)
