snake eyes is a nice brand. i tried their irons (they were forgiving and long) but i liked the titleist ap2 better so i went with those. snake eyes is not very well known in the USA, it's quite a popular brand in the UK. If you're looking for cheap clubs which can easily be custom fit then you can't go wrong with snake eyes. you could also consider MD Golf and Benross (British brands) although i'm not sure you can find...

putting is all about confidence so pick a putter that fits your eye. it should not matter what the cost of the putter is because you should buy one putter and stick with it

Before you go out and change equipment have you tried making sure that your ball position is near the inside of your front foot? also try teeing up the ball slightly higher and the ball forward and finally check you swing to see if you are taking the club back on an more upright swing path on your take away. I also have aim left and slightly open the club face to increase the height of the ball flight. Some might consider this adjusting your...

I knew their swingweight was more, but the overall weight feel light, at least to me. I think it was in this forum where I read that it's better for the swingweight to be the same for all of your clubs for consistency. If that's the case, why would/should the wedge be a different swingweight than the others?
I've hit some Mizuno irons at Golfsmith and am slowly coming around to ...

yeah it was more thank likely in mph.. it might been the internet swing speed formula though and not the laws of physics swing speed.

those would all likely be within one club of each other...distance is a result of several factors, one of which is loft. shaft, length, swingspeed (which are all related) also factor into the distance equation as well as a bunch of other physics mumbo jumbo. that said, you could expect to hit your woods and hybrids further and a similar lofted iron,

Why not go try them all and see what one you like better? Picking a putter based on what someone else says is not a good idea.

I just hit the MP58 and 2008 AP2 both with PX 5.5. All I can say is WOW. Both of these irons felt amazing. The MP58 felt a little bit more buttery but the AP2 still felt great as well. The top line of the MP58 was a little thinner and looked a little bit better at address.
Both felt great but I'm not sure which one to get. I can get th AP2 710 or 2008 AP2 for much cheaper then ...

I'm shopping around for a new set of irons and am torn between what to get between blades or game improvement irons. I hear that getting blades at my handicap might not be such a good idea. However, I enjoy blades look so much more than anything else. I like my clubs to be very simple looking. My main question is, is it a terrible idea to get blades at my current skill level? I ...

Of those three, I would say go with the Taylor Made Burners if you're looking for distance. When I was demoing clubs (although I didn't try the Pings), the Taylor Made's were consistantly giving me 10 yards more distance than other brands.

First of all, I'd like to know what is your average SW yardage on a full swing shot.
Second, is there a huge difference between a blade style SW (like Vokeys or Mizuno MP wedges) and a cavity back SW, in terms of forgivness and yardage??
I used to game a very old cavity SW called FOXBAT and I loved it. It was my most confident and preferred shot in 100 yards and under. Now with...

i swiched to the mizuno mp 32's from some old ping eye 2's and i did gain about 5 to 10 yards on most of my irons but ya it is the same as yours going from a old club to a totally new club i hit the ball way better now and have improved a few strokes just from swiching

Clean that baby up to a nice shiny polish and you'll feel better, guarantee it! Maybe do a custom paintfill or stamp it, something like that. A change may be what you need. It's how I cope with my club ho'ing obsession. I don't think a switch of putters is the answer, if anything, a temporary one.
But who knows, maybe you'll knock everything in with the Method.

I recently purchased a 6 iron of both the Callaway X-22 and the R7 draw irons.
I like the feel of both however I am not sure which would be better for me long term. Any thought on which is a better game improvement iron?

I used to play the SoLo as well, but it seems like they stopped making it. I just don't care for the Roll or the Carry as much.
The Srixon AD333 is worth a look. I think it is very comparable to the SoLo and it's an affordable ball, too.
I compared the AD333 to the ProV1 this summer during scrambles and they were very comparable in length.
The Srixon is softer, but the ...
