However, rather than paraphrase the Rule, here it is
under penalty of one stroke:
a. Play a ball as nearly as possible at the spot from which the original ball was last played (see Rule 20-5 ); or
b. Drop a ball behind the
water hazard , keeping the point at which the original ball last crossed the margin ...

Thanks for the advice and the info on the clubfitters website. I went out there and found a couple of individuals within a reasonable drive from my home. I will be contacting them. I made the mistake of buying my last driver from
Edwin Watts and they said they were "fitting" me (I was very naive at the time). I spent 5 minutes on a launcher and they said they had all the info they needed to sell...

Thank You, Paul

Hi there: Unfortunately this is correct. The reason for it is so they can preserve some of the swingweight of the lighter clubs. If the swingweight is too light, it will feel like you are swinging a feather, and will not have much
swing feel at all to them. Another drawback of this length, is that it makes it harder to hit on-center shots consistently. The longer the clubs get, the harder ...

Very late response, but I'll take a stab at it. The
graphite shafts are probably too light, too long (generally the graphite shafts are .5" longer to try and preserve some of the swingweight), and have a swingweight/MOI that is too light for your swing. I fit a fella last summer who picked up 6 MPH swing speed with his 5-iron when using a heavier steel shaft compared to a light weight graphite ...

Hi there: I know you had asked about custom fitting on a different post - this same stuff applies to drivers too. If you see a good clubfitter, he will have various driver demo heads and shafts that you can try. Lighter is not always necessarily better. For instance, I have to add weight to my driver heads and use a heavier shaft for
best performance (for me). I've fit others whose swing ...

Mostly it depends on you, not the club.

the right choice when it comes to grooves. Time is running out to buy a wedge that will spin.
