Ok, so I'm back, once again looking for a shaft for the XCG. And yes, I realize that choosing a different club would perhaps solve the problem, but the feel of this thing is AMAZING, and anyways I dont have the cash to buy a new club, or the ability to test options. 1. I also, did the same thing. i been going through so many driver this year looking for more distance and all its been doing is messing up my swing.i was a 9 handicapp, now probaly a 16. beginning of the year i had 1) taylormade tour burner with stock shaft in stiff- terrible distance 2) put in graffaloy blue shaft- still horrible 3) taylormade r7 limited with matrix -ozik 5.5- stiff flex, felt the shaft was too flexible, the matrix 5.5 was...

I just need a quick tip regarding some driver shafts. Currently playing Diamana whiteboard 73 stiff.. Swing speed: about 109-117mph Launch: Pretty high about 3200-3800 Looking for lower spin and a more penetrating ball flight , lower launch perhaps.. which shaft of theese 3 would u recommend for me.. First serious year of golf, 5'10" 185. Handicap around 19. Usually in the 90s. Golfing 8 to 10 times per month and practice about once per week. Constistency of swing: 6 of 10. Speed tempo is medium, if i struggle with tempo either hook or push/slice Looking to try to find more fairways. Got 3 lessons in last year, plan on getting 3 lessons this winter. General questionnaire: How often you play in a month? - About once every 2 months How often you practice in a month? - About 3 times How consistent do you think your swing are in a scale 1-10 ( 10 being the best )? you can go to a hardware store and get and extractor.. basically like a drill bit that will grab the inside of the shaft and reverse pull it out.. need a drill and still have to apply heat to get the epoxy loose.

If you get the 73 it will be low enough even with the 9.5 D3. But, you should be ok with the 8.5 63-stiff combination.
