Stack & Tilt - local Ottawa instructor
I hear that S&T is easier on the back.
If true, I would be open to some training if there is some local instructor. Does anyone know of someone they can recommend?

Sound theory. Get an old 8 or 9 iron and have the loft changed a couple degrees to increase effective bounce. The results will be pretty much the same.

My advice, just go back to what feels natural.
I have one of the flattest swing planes on the planet. I tried the "more upright" experiment for a couple of years and sprayed the ball all over the place. As soon as I went back to my naturally flat plane I immediately started hitting the ball better.

I find I hit big hooks if i start with my back
swing with any kind of "sway" backwards if you know what i mean, you also may just be bringing the club back more on the inside.

Try to
visualize a point about one inch past the ball and hit that with your club. The ball will "get in the way" of the clubhead and you'll have much crisper contact.

I have to ask, how the hell do you end up with 47
putts?
I have to assume that you are leaving a lot of your first putts either very short or very long.
