Since the mid 80's I've heard "Gold $5,000. an ounce". Usually from the likes of Swiss America and other gold dealers. One day it WILL get there, via inflation. Silver has just about kept up with (the "official" propaganda) 4% inflation since I started purchasing at $7. an ounce back in 93. If it does hit $5K I'll be selling. Remember when it hit $1,000. a few years ago for a short time, then dropped back...

Finally convinced my wife to get her carry permit and start carrying. Bought her a carry gun too...well, I couldn't very well give up one of mine since that would knock me down to less than a dozen But seriously, you have no idea how difficult it has been to convince her to carry. It's been a long road and is a huge step for us (been married for 17+ yrs).

Honestly, if you're not sure of the reliability of the H&K I would recommend selling it. I'm assuming you don't carry a pistol you've had reliability issues with. Going that route, I would sell it, and purchase more magazines for the P-95 IOT leave it at the BOL with what you feel is a sufficient supply of magazines. Sounds like a good set-up, gave me some ideas for mine...

Frightening thought, I'd hate to see another Civil War here in the United States but unfortunately I can see the possibility of it happening under the right conditions. Personally I hope it never happens, I'm a family man & my family's safety is my number one concern, however I certainly do not want them to have to live under the boot of a Hugo Chavez style *cough* "democracy" *cough*

My guess is these types of pictures attract the youth to these programs, obviously if they showed them doing paperwork, directing traffic in the rain, or writing parking tickets the youth would not be interested in learning police work. My fear is they let some of the wrong kids in and teach them some tactics that may used against the public if they decide to turn into criminals.

Yes, not getting noticed is nice, but having the extra capacity is good for those times when you don't have full control of everything happening around you and somebody does notice you. Most civilian bolt-action rifles aren't made to withstand heavy use.

I was actually just thinking of the changes in my life since I started prepping. I started in 2006/7. I bought a S&W 38 and a SKS pluse a couple boxes of ammo. I had a couple weeks of food and water and I was set. Now life is for a lack of better words, much different.
