IDPA Legal Holster for Female...

I have not worked with a Blade Tech. Is the drop not adjustable? Could she not put the belt width spacer shim they use on top of the belt in the loop to raise the holster a bit? Do you think the local club MD will notice or care? I use Ready Tactical. You might contact Chris Patty at CPWSA and see how long it would take to have Chris Stewart make up a maximum drop IDPA Lady's rig. http://www.cpwsa.com/ready_tactical.htm The TRP has metal...

You can adjust cant with the holster but not drop. I did not hear my wife correct (common problem) I thought she said the drop was off by 2 inches but since I measured it the drop is 2 inches and that is close enough. I could also use the adjustments for belt width to raise it some but since that holster is for a pistol that does not fit her well I will probably have to get something else anyways. I was hoping I would hear from experienced...

When the difference between winning and losing is .12 seconds between shots or .15 can you really tell the difference? Stock means "Stock", for the love of Pete, get over it. You wouldn't carry a gun with a conversion barrel (not without a lick of common sense in your head anyway), why would you want to compete with one? Shoot what you carry. Dan

Hozer, that is correct. I'm just so used to seeing 'Ghost' holsters in open and Wilderness Tactical with Blade Techs in Production.

2010 Rocky Mountain Steel Challenge
Published (2010-01-02 20:44:00)
On 28-29 May Pikes Peak Practical Shooters will again host the Rocky Mountain Regional/Area 2 Steel Challenge. Just like last year, the match can be shot on either day. Friday after noon-ish and all day Saturday. Shooting it all in one day is easy and many did exactly that last year. Last year we gave away a lot of $$$ and a lot of guns. People that shoot it again this year will save $10 off their match fee. This year your match fee includes...

In cases like that, going from a 40 to a 9 in virtually the same gun, it might not make a tremendous amount of sense but they are trying to cover all possible bases where someone COULD find a possible advantage by swapping barrels between models. In their rulebook they talk about having lights on guns. Many people keep a gun with a light mounted on the frame for home defense but it COULD lend an advantage to someone who has it on their IDPA...

Can I use a 9MM conversion barrel in a .40 S&W? I have a full size M&P40 - would like to get a conversion barrel (just because I want one) - figured if I start shooting IDPA I could use it - but The rules seems to say NO - EXCLUDED Modifications: "6. A barrel of another caliber that is not offered in the original factory model" S&W sells a full size M&P in 9MM -does that count as an "original...

I see no numbers in the "female" IDPA rules. All it says is
" Holsters for females are exempt from F criteria but may not cant the holster away from the body past 90 deg to the ground." Rule F is the part about belt tunnel gaps and thickness of back pieces over the belt. It seems to me that she can have whatever spacer is required to make the holster hang vertical.

I know exactly what you mean. I shot an IDPA match saturday and it started at a windy 29 degrees. I had gloves but trying to help paste and everything it was hard to keep my hands warm.
There is an item popular with hunters and football fans. It is a handwarmer muff that straps around your waist and takes a couple of the chemical handwarmers inside.
There are many different ones but ...

One dual mag pouch holds two mags in the same relative position very well (duh!) while two single mag pouches will follow your beltline better ("lay flatter" -depending on body type-) and give you independent spacing a dual pouch can't give you.
I use a single dual pouch and it works fine. (When shooting USPSA I use two duals and a single!)

Keep the 19 if you like it and get the 34.....save for it if needed. You can use the 19 meanwhile.

singles, because you can position them exactly where you want without binding. Nobody runs leather, your choice is basically the Wilderness Tactical, or the CR speed inner/outer, depending on which division you want to shoot in.

I generally shoot a G17 in competition, mostly due to cost of ammo, but overall, when I shoot GSSF with a G17, G24C and G30, I often do best with the 30! It is very accurate for a subcompact.

G26 in IDPA?
Too small for my hands, traded my G26 for a G19 and now have a twin for it. I shoot a G35 in IDPA and IPSC. With a 19+1 extended mag in IPSC it roars, in IDPA it runs fine. I will be using one of my G19's next week at a local indoor IDPA match, and maybe at a monthly IPSC match. Too many good guns to shoot all the ...

Not really. The California Competition Works ( delrin) magwell is smaller, but I don't know if it fits in the box. Why on earth would ya want a magwell on an IDPA gun? It's not like you're reloading 4 times per stage, guy.
