I have a chihuahua too. When she was a puppy she didn't mind the cold but now she prefers to be in the house during winter weather. Your chihuahua being accustomed to warm temperatures
all year round will make it very difficult to adjust to the cold, most chihuahuas like to be kept warm. Buy something that's warm and easy to put on, if your chi doesn't mind boots, all the better. Don't keep him...

I suppose it all depends on the dog. I've never had a senior dog that required extensive surgery, so I can't shed much light on that situation.
If he is in otherwise
good health and doesn't have a history of having a reaction to the drugs they use to put him under, what do you have to loose by having him operated on? A seven year old small breed pup isn't generally considered a senior, ...

Make sure any bedding the dog slept on is washed thoroughly and that spot on
flea treatments are used as soon as it it safe to use them.
Alternative, non-chemical, treatment is possible too, if you prefer that...but I'm not well versed in that kind of flea treatment.
Main thing to do is to treat the environment as well as the animal for the entire lifecycle of the fleas. You can generally...

I'm not sure of any
homeopathic remedy that will help out with seizures. From all I've read, they need a medication to keep them in check if they are being caused by something treatable.
Seizures can be caused by a lot of things. Genetics, tumours, cancer, epilepsy, etc. If you are concerned about your boy, I'd contact a vet and see what they think. One seizure wouldn't be making me ...

Bit of a disclaimer first - please remember I'm in Australia so we (fortunately!) don't have rabies vaccines so I'm not including those in my response.
But I tend to agree with you - at 6 or 7 months I'd vaccinate once and once only as I too understand that puppies are done multiple times to safeguard against interference from any
maternal antibodies remaining in the system.
Of course...

Hello Jill & all,
Cody is still
here with me. So far so good! I put him on Hill's Science Prescription Diet for the persistent diarrhea and now he hasn't had any further episodes. I know it's probably not as great as "human" food, but he isn't suffering with abdominal cramping anymore and his body just couldn't tolerate it any longer. I'm still giving him the vitamins and herbs.

Just make sure that your dog has water to drink. Have you observed anything unusual in your dog? Try feeding him
bits and pieces so that his stomach wont be totally empty.
