Demons the series
Published (2010-01-05 23:04:38)
Tina mentioning the stables in End Of Time part one being the same as the ones in The Next Doctor, and of course, Life On Mars, got me to thinking of the series currently being shown on BBC-America. It's called "Demons", and it's about some teenager who's the descendant of VanHelsing, who's basically the chosen one to rid the world of the forces of darkness. NO, it's not like Buffy. The teenager in...

I won't spoiler-text any replies about the episode now that it's aired on BBC-A. As far as Verity goes, it was a sloppy scene. I know exactly why it was done and can appreciate RTD's intent, but it was wholly unnecessary. Even moreso that, when they viewed an edit of it, no-one even realized the scene was missing until the editor mentioned it to them. I don't really see a chance of Noel returning to DW/Torchwood on his...

Yeah, I didn't see the first season on tv either. The dvds are well worth the money. They've got good commentaries, even one with John and Phil together. I got Season 2 a couple months ago, but haven't cracked it open yet. Don't know...

Of all the people who've been regulars in Dr Who in the last 5 years, the one I'd think likeliest not to let it dog the rest of their career, is Noel Clarke. (Oh, and possibly Bernard Cribbins, though realistically, what's he gonna do next in the time he has left?)

I was amazed at how happy and charming that baby was. Turns out, I was right. Greg Beeman says the twins reactions were all uncoaxed. He gave the example of
the single long shot of Hiro taking the bottle out of lady's hand, running off and then giving it to the baby. The kid's reactions were completely
genuine and perfect. I thought they looked real, because you didn't see them cut to a ...

And the requested avs (great choices!). The "Sawyer in Dharma outfit" one was a bit tricky since he's only been in 2 shows in the togs, but...

Walked into the evil Wal Mart Saturday night, walked out with a Blu Ray player and "King Kong" and "Pinocchio" on Blu Ray. Personally,
I'm not going to go back and replace all my current DVD's with Blu Ray, seeing as how the player can play regular DVD's. Some, I might. Mostly
films with special effects and the animated films, but mostly, I'll just get films I haven't bought yet.

Wow, I didn't realize King Lear was recorded! I saw a news item about that play a year or so back, and posted it here. I will definitely look for it.
And the news about Hamlet has made an already good mood day even better! I've been dying to see that, and now I'll be on the lookout for it.
Speaking of that, I need to track down Masterpiece Theatre's Casanova. I can't get it on Netflix.

I had to pin my cat down and give him medicine for an ear infection tonight... so we're not on speaking terms right now.
Still, I guess that means we can compare battle scars in the morning meqal! Twenty-some pounds of pissed-off and sick kitty plus ear drops is a recipe for
disaster and he got me pretty good!
As for me, I'm not into the countdown this year... last year we had some jerk ...
