It depends on your pace when it comes to tires. I know guys who are mid to low advanced, who can make a set last 3-4 weekends. I am pushing it to make them last 3-4 days. Novice guys are known to make them last 5-6 weekends or more sometimes. It is all relative, and the faster you go the more money it costs basically

Re: is the bmc race fillter better then a k&n???? Truth - you won't be able to tell a difference in "everyday riding. You will not pull out of your driverway and think "damn, my bike is fast with my new air filter". If you go with a full exhaust, BMC Race filter and get the bike dyno tuned, it will make more power and you will be able to feel it. But that is assuming you are using all the power you have...

Re: New Race Class Idea... Some buddies had a simular idea. Sport Touring Class. We were not talking VFRs but the big boys such as GoldWings, ST1300, BMW1200 ect. The rules would stat that you have to race with at least 40lbs of balast which would include a case of beer in the saddlebags. Also must have at least 10 extra lights on bike and points would be deducted for no flashing lights or chrome. Must have radio as loud as it can be at all...

Me and my girld have entertained the thought of this dozens of times. I would be more inclined to do a 2up riding day than a regular track day. Though I have done 0 trackdays to date.

Don't go with Lite-eyes that are sponsors of this site, cos they have ripped members off.
They had a sale and didn't send any goods out, apparently.

Next time try it on a lite weight bike with lots of turning radius. I did
mine on a Kawi 700 ltd. Good balance and a good turning radius. It is very
hard to take a road test on a sport bike.

Re: Is this worth it??
I guess that depends on what you mean by worth it. When the average gearset just won't do, you get this. For 99% of the people 99% of the time stock works just fine. Most racers probably wouldn't even be interested given how many sets of tires and track days that could be bought for that price. Like it said, used in ...

If you have a first floor apartment pull it inside, otherwise if you have optional garages use those.
If you don't have either, consider renting a storage unit and storing your bike there.

Its kind of funny that you mention the quads and thighs for moving the bike Trey.
Before I wadded up my zx-6r this summer I had horrible body position all the way around. I never realized it until I got on my 750 after being out of the saddle for 5 months or so. I just naturally followed the bikes feedback and it kind of taught me how I should push it around.
I use to put too much weight on...

NEVER wear sneakers on a sportbike, always some kind of leather work boot at the very least (if not purpose built motorcycle boot with external plastic protection). If you have to bring a backpack to put shoes in then do it. Your feet can literally be torn to shreds in a crash with the wrong foot wear.
Imagine lowsiding with your leg stuck under the bike. You've now got 400 lbs of ...

Do you think that will help Suzuki become competitive since they already have a 1000cc engine or are they going to be an "also ran" until they start spending money, no matter what the platform is?
I also wonder if it will help more tech come to the street/weekend racers or if the new 1000cc engines will still be light years different from the production engines. Just thinking out loud.

i would of paid 4500. as long as it was stored properly. most likely someone would want 4500 for it with 10000 miles for an 05. i love that year nice bike. you should replace the tires if it just sat and the fluids. ill give ya 3 for it right now.

Ghost Rider would do it on a wheelie at 95mph, I would guess 20mph would be safe depending on your reaction time.
