^^ Gee never saw those pics before, very original. And you really thought I was being rude to the guy? You def haven't been around here long enough, I'm one of the nice guys around here. If you think I was rude you're gonna need some thicker skin around here.

You, sir, are missing my point. It's not the opinion I have a "hard on" for, it was the method by which you express it. You don't have to be rude when you express a opinion by devaluing his by saying it's "gay". That's all I was trying to say. I am not the great defender of chrome by any means. Maybe you just said it in a offhand way and I took it wrong. Anyway,we are geting off the...

A lot depends on your riding style and the roads you ride on. I have had 600s, 750s and 1000s. Thous are great for grunt and the open road. But if the twisties are your thing then a 600 may be a better choice. There are times when a 1000 requiring sensitive throttle control can be a hindrance for the less experienced pilot and they will actually be quicker on a 600 that they can be more ham-fisted with. Like already said, its horses for...

don't polish it. It just doesn't look right on a sport bike.
and welcome!
(and surely you'll notice the polished frame on mine in my picture. I'm in the process of getting it down to just the frame so I can repaint it. that was the doing of the previous owner)

Not the answer you are looking for but if you are not inclined I would not attempt that or you will end up buying a new headlight assembly. You have to heat it just enough to open it but too much you can melt the housing and too little you can crack it when pulling it apart.
