The default should work just fine. So just press <Space>. The numbers indicate characters, not pixels. You get to pick screen resolutions usually when X starts (not saying in this case, though).

Try clearing out your
internet cache. Sometime the page that's stored in the internet cache specific to a particular page can get corrupted. If this happens it can cause problems. If that doesn't work try rebooting your modem and router (if you have one); finally, tryturmning off your firewall temporarily. I hope one of the above fixes works for you.
