Well, we planted the millet on July 12th and it has taken off very well. Not all of the millet is starting to seed yet but it sure is looking good and should be any day now. Here is a picture I took with my cell phone.

I hope to be there. Jennifer has told me great things about Steve and his dove shoots. Can we reserve spots or is it strictly first-come, first-served. I have to work Friday night until after midnight, but I will be up bright and early Saturday morning for the chance at a good shoot with a good lunch.

I think this is same shoot we went to last year. It is a small private field but lots of birds. Walker Creek holds this shoot each year.

Beaver Dam Duck Hunts. Has anybody hunted with these guys out of Pocahontas, Ark? Looks like it is around Dave Donaldson WMA, and the Black and Cache rivers. Thinking about going the weekend of MLK in January. Looks like it will be flooded timber and rice fields.

I hate to admit it but I just can't seem to kill many doves. I really have trouble hitting them. I've tried "leading them" and others have suggested "just cover it with the end of the barrel and pull the trigger" I use a 12 gauge, 7 1/2 or 8 shot, and modified or improved choke. I'd sure appreciate some advise on how to get more than 2-3 birds per box which is my usual take...........

Hey y'all, Give me your best recommendation in Georgia or even eastern Alabama on where one could go to hunt pheasant, grouse or quail or all three. Prefer free ranging birds but also a hunt where they release prior to the hunt is a consideration although not the most desirable situation. If you have a website to the outfitter or any other information that would be appreciated. ...
