Yep, I AM still alive - but barely. I am whipped! I've shot over 7,000 images in the last 5 days - made two culls through each day's shoot, & then re-named, saved, & backed up all the files (by individual dog name - AACCHH!). Here is a dog in the water... There are a few more pix here: http://forum.gon.com/showthread.php?t=242800 Nikon D3, Nikkor 400 mm, f/3.5, 1/1600th second, ...

Who would not like having a niece like this? Despite the nail polish she's flat not scared of a cricket.

Some of you may remember that I posted some pictures of a trip of mine to Washington. I specifically went to take some pictures of a good friend of mine who was visiting a good friend of his who was laid to rest in Arlington. Along the way, I captured this image. I was going through my pictures and something keeps bringing me back to this picture. There is a story there but I guess I will...

Went and sat in my blind out in the woods hoping to get some deer pictures. While waiting on the deer to show up I practiced on a few cardinals. How come they never want to land where there is some good light

this is an almost shot. it is too cool not to post though. the hawk was sitting too far away and i would have needed 1000 mm + to fill the frame , he was against a grey sky so that did not help with exposure, it was late in the evening and that did not help either but i still like the shot !!!!!! this hawk likes this branch and angie and ethan see it regularly . i will try to find him ...

I dont know of any other way to overcome having to go to ISO1600 He stayed around for about 15 minutes this time offering several ...
