been reading a lot about stripers and trolling. The one thing I have noticed is that everybody who fishing north and in salt water swear by the tube and worm. Has anyone tried it down here and in our fresh water lakes?

Some would think that three sessions in three days under the Sycamores is a bit ridiculous. These folks just don’t understand or they have a life which includes a full time job. Oh well. I have said that every day is different yet every day is the same. Three days ago the water was up and rolling! The lines were pulled almost horizontal as the muddy water headed south toward the bridge ...

Fished out of Gaults from before first light till around noon. Caught one small largemouth early on a crank bait in Owl Creek. Went on down to the bluff walls by the big houses on the hill. Caught 4 more down there mostly on spinnerbaits and on main points. My partner caught one that would have went 3 pounds or so on his spinnerbait. Water temps 71 vis 8+ windy and rough water when we...

Does anyone know of a gas station around Hammonds or Charleston ramp that carries regular gas without ethanol? I have been putting startron fuel additive in my boat everytime I fill up, but I am afraid this ethonal stuff is going to cause problems down the road. Brad

Yeah that sounds good... I dont know if bobby would let us use the scale or not. I mean if we have to we can just weigh them on a digital scale, I mean there shouldn't be that many people so we should be ok.

There are plenty of fish there already. Are you going to float? 1/8 ounce salmon colored roostertails with black spots if you can find them will load the stringer. Try Bargain Barn.

The lake is now down right at 17.4 feet below full pool and the surface temps are holding steady at 74 deg on the south end. I went to launch at Big Creek this morning and they were closing it today so we are left with Shoal Creek on the east side. Fishing remains good for me. I had long time customer Jim Bruce along with a co-worker and his 13 year old son Jordan Carter. Jordan ...

Fishing remained good today. Actually, very good. We hit the lake early and started catching fish right off the bat. WE never really had a slow spell today as we constantly found groups of feeding fish. Phil and I landed around 40-50 spots today with a very good tournament weight. We kept two for pics but we could have filled the boat with solid keepers and atleast one livewell with big...

I am planning a camping trip to lake seed next weekend. I have heard of some decent yellow perch fishing and a few walleye and trout. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks, Jonathan
