I have lived in floyd county all my life and the biggest deer I have ever killed was a 11 point typical that I killed on turnip mountain in coosa. I do not believe anyone would have let the buck that you killed walk away. Congrats

I have been living in South Georgia in Berrien county while I further my education. I have tried the whole make friends and hunt thing and it is just not working except for a few dove shoots. I was wondering if anybody knew anywhere to go deer/hog hunting around this area. I just bought a new bow and would preferably like to bow hunt only, Thanks.

ALWAYS tie the platform to the seat portion. AND when you do try to use less than 7 feet of rope and tie it to a part of the seat that you can reach!!! This is from last year and yeah I had to get a photo of it after the platform fell ( I was just getting my feet in yet another pic). I also sat there and talked with Bubbabuck on the radio for about a half hour with my feet dangling I finally ...

Took my 8 pointer to The Deer Market in Nicholson. Man did they do a good job! Killed it on Friday and it was ready Tuesday night. Plus, I got back what I should have as far a quantity of meat is concerned. I got on of those extra large waxed boxes back filled to the brim. -7 packs of steaks (including tenderloin) -17 packs of cubed -15 packs of hamburger Now my freezer is stuffed to the brim.

Just thought it would be cool for all of us that hunt in Heard Co. to meet one Saturday after hunting for lunch somewhere. That way we could share some hunting stories and get to know one another. What ya"ll think?

If I waited for 100" bucks before pulling the trigger, I would have killed a total of 1 buck in my entire 23 years of hunting. Where I hunt at, that 85" 8-pt that just stepped out is probably the biggest buck you're gonna see all year, so you'd better shoot it. If I'm fortunate enough to kill 2 80+" bucks in one season, I'm tickled pink. If I then see a true trophy, I'd like to be able to ...

I never post pictures anyway. The only people that see my kills are the guys I hunt with and my family. I don't really care much about the horns...I have enough of them already. I hunt because I enjoy it and because we use the meat. It wouldn't change anything for me.

I like meat, but I hunt for antlers. I kill 1-2 does a year to keep my streak alive and to break the boredom. Sometimes, I'm just in the mood to hear my rifle go "BOOM." I've reached a point now where I'm no longer happy with shooting average 6-pt's and smaller bucks. Where I hunt, a 100" buck is very, very rare. I've seen exactly 2 in 23 years of hunting. For my first buck each year, I'm ...

Have you hunted in one spot trying to get that 1 buck you saw 1 time...and then finally got him? I need some support here.I saw a good one yesterday at 7:13pm.He was about 400yds away.I moved closer today, and nothing. Seems like I have never saw one,and moved closer, and then taken him later.I usually hunt a spot once and move on,but this one is worth sticking with. Give me some...

I was just wondering how many of yall have a certain day or 2-3 day period that seems to be the "magic day" year after year??? For example are there many of yall who have taken some of your nicest bucks on the exact same date for multiple seasons?? Tell us what county it is so it might give some of us a clue when we need to be out there......... That time for me has become Nov.5-7....
