Just a side note to ponder. How many here, if controlled by God everyday of their lives, would complain that God needed to mind his own business and let you live your life? I can hear it now. "God, just but out and let me do my thing." "I know how to live my life, and you keep holding me back." "Why did you create me if you are just gonna go around forcing me to do whatever you want me to!"

I am not atheist either. I do not believe in the Christian God . I won't say I looked for evidence , but I will say I looked for proof. What I found was that the majority of times, and to some degree in ALL cases , The belief in the C God caused way more damage then good. You may say that I looked to men instead of God but man is the only way to learn of God. When discussing on this forum ,most ,especially the pastors, Tell us that we can...

some of you folks really need to research a topic before offering your opinion. isnt the name of this forum have the word "study" in it??? most of yall think just because a politician says something "it must be true" or if a doctor says something... "it must be true"... thats the blind leading the blind and both will fall in a ditch. i believe it was God that said those wise words... if you have any desire for the...

I'm an agnostic leaning towards Atheism. I don't know for certain if God exists or not but I have no evidence, anecdotal or otherwise to lead me to believe in a supreme being. Even the idea of a God makes me chuckle. I've always imagined the God of Christians to be the typical old, white guy with the flowing robes and the beard except I always picture him sitting behind a big oak desk. I don't...

Somebody told me it was in 1 Corinthians Ch 7, but I didn't see it in there...unless I just didn't understand it.
Thanks so much....

We should probably answer question #2 first.
Church is a gathering of believers who, under the leadership of biblical elders and deacons (according to 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1), gather to 1. worship God for who He is and what He has done, 2) exhort, encourage, admonish each other in the Christian life, and 3) go about obeying the Great Commission.
I think the whole NT is evidence that ...

The world treats Easter (Christ's Resurrection Day) and Christmas (Christ's Birthday) the same....by trying to cover up the real meaning with a bunny and fat man. We played the Santa Claus game with my children when they were younger, but once they were old ...

I know several Gideons who would love to know an atheist stole a Bible. Many get saved stealing a Bible, smoking it, or reading it to find a way to jab it at the rest of the believers....
But, if you have the financial means to purchase a book, then why steal one?
