I still think he looks sort of banged up with the scar on his belly and everything. There are other 1 1/2 year olds on the property with racks bigger than that. I think maybe he's a young deer that's been busted up a little. I'm pretty new at this too though.

Not too familiar with the D-40 but I have seen in some other cams where if the deer slowly walks up to the cam straight on, the cam wont detect it or wont detect until it is close to the cam. On those cams, sensitivity should be set on high. It is easier for the PIR Sensor to detect movement left to right.

i would agree that the capture is a good camera, sometimes. i have two of them and one lasts about a month on batteries and the other only lasts about 2 weeks. i've heard of others having similar problems where some of them work great and some work not as well.

Moultrie makes a good camera. Stay away from Wildview Extreme cameras.

man my screen dont work either got to aim laser then hit mode button til green light flashes and cant change time either...sucks dont it.... i called moultrie and they told me it would be cheaper to just buy another one. Great help aint they

not hard at all just put the card in your computer and view the files i have a bunch of cameras but never owned a wildgame inovations ir they r about 90 bucks try it out alot of people on here love them my night pics not that great on stealth cam but my cudde back is great

I would say, no. From the picture it looks to be a young deer maybe 1-1/2 to 2-1/2.

Def. 4.5 or older. sway back, big gut, bold chested. scrore not that great though, good spead but the tine lenth is short. I would say mid. 120's _ 130 at the most
