Rainmaker, I cast my own .44 caliber bullets and if you are anywhere near Dallas, GA I would be happy to give you some to try out.

Wish I had a .41 matter of fact. I ran across a Lee Classic Loader in 41 for $12 the other day, almost bought it just because. Believe I will next time I am there IF they still have it.

Great job! Not a big fan of the GNR cartridges myself, but I can't argue with the ballistics on them.
Congrats on the handgun kill. It is very addictive.

What powders do you have?
Which bullet do you intend on loading?
I load 240grain cast SWC over 7.0grains of Trail Boss powder that gives 886fps over the chornograph from a 5.5" Ruger Redhawk and 801fps from a 2.5" Taurus 44mag.
You can find plenty of 44mag "cowboy" loads ...

there is alot of that going around in Gwinnett Co. My truck and the truck next to mine were broke into in broad daylight in Snellville. They took a range bag with ammo and some other stuff, but completely missed my Sig220 that was under the console.
Your right, a locked door does not mean your stuff is safe!

there was one on the swap 'n sell earlier today with the 9.5 inch barrel. Mine has the 9.5" barrel and I love it, but a 7.5 would work good too!

I personally don't like the Taurus line of pistols because they seem to be cheaply built to me. I have heard several people talking about how they have had problems with these pistols. This is why I steer clear of them.
Some people like them, some don't. It's all just a matter of opinion, like which truck is the best. Find the pistol that you like and feel comfortable with, and go with it...

Sorry, but the .480 WILL NOT shoot the .475 Linebaugh ammo, it's the other way around.
The .480 is a really easy to shoot round, a lot more comfortable than my .454, and it's easy to handload. Factory ammo is a tad pricey, but what isn't these days?
The recoil is a little bit stouter than my .44 Mag hunting loads from my Super Redhawk, but not enough to cause concern. I loaded 400 grain...

Someone else had posted this before but it deserves a 2nd look.
Test using 9mm, 45ACP, .223 and 12 gauge with buck and bird shot.
Y'all decide.
