I went to four docs in the Metro New Orleans area for 3 years searching for an answer to the reason my back
hurt so bad. I had been told around 2003 that I had a fused SI joint when I had a xray for a kidney stone. In doing some research on fused SI joints, I found AS. Four rheumys told me that I did not have AS, that it was a mans disease. One day, I was in recovery room after a surgical ...

After receiving two different diagnosis, my family physician located Dr. John A. Flynn who is the
medical director of the spondyloarthritis program at Johns Hopkins, MD. She did not want me to get another opinion but rather be seen by someone who specializes in this disease. I have an appointment in September. Will let you all know how it goes. Bonnie

Does anyone know of a good doctor in portland oregon??? All of the doctors
that my husband has seen for his AS all tell him that there is nothing that
they can do but give him medicine to help with the pain but nothing to help
treat the disease itself.

And loved him! He is in LA at Cedars-Sinai which is a bit of a drive for me but it was so worth it. He spent an hour and half with me, discussed the latest research in AS and did a thorough
physical exam. I recommend him to anyone who is seeking a knowledgable, kind doctor who knows what he is doing and cares about his patients! Laura
