I didn't see the Type R comment, so here's my response to that: People didn't complain about the Type R Hondas because they're upgrades, performance wise, over the other trim specs. All Hyundai did was decontent a 2.0 base, which is their slowest model to begin with, and slap a few bits from the Track model on there. Unlike the Type R Hondas, the R-Spec Coupe has no bragging rights to say that it has something another trim...

this is not correct. In the 2.0T the only trim that gets nav is the premium auto transmission. Quote: I have a 2.0t premium w/ manual transmission but no navigation. From my understanding it only comes on the track versions.

ChromeDragon: Thanks for the input that's good to know. Yes my plan was to upgrade the base car with parts like you mentioned, but really I want to stay in G Stock next year, which essentially limits me to cat-back exhaust and sticky tires. I aslo plan on doing some HST and open track days so the Brembos will be good. ragchaos: I was going to hold out and find an R-Spec but my wife really likes the Bluetooth, cruise, etc. I had to...

Ive already been asked several questions about my car. Probably more so because it is LR Green. Had one guy all exited today at the PX asking me if it was the new Genesis Coupe. Im just happy he knew what it was.. and not call it a Tiburon. I can understand their mistake tho. it does look good for a hyundai. My grin gets bigger every time I walk back to it and get in.

once this car has been out for a couple of years...more and more grassroot
drifters, Time attack and auto X people are going to buy them and use them.
I know most of you wont like that because you want to be the only ones,
thats cool and all. However to get more and more after market support you
need as many people to race, drift do whatever so we can get that support.
Of course this is what i ...

premium fuel ads around 9-10hp not 4 and that extra 10hp will quicken the time by a tenth or 2.

No, you can switch into "sport mode" or whatever you want to call it whenever you want to. Of course, if you let the RPMs drop too much the car will downshift for you, probably a fraction of a second before you yourself hit the paddle and then you'll end up a gear lower than you want to be, and the slowing from the engine will jerk you around. If you can't tell, that is my biggest annoyance ...

Well good to hear that you're alright. That cop has pulled me over before.
Is that in Grand Prairie? Did the Axle cause the accident? or The accident
cause the Axle to pop out?

The lsd, HID's, and brembos make it worth it. The brembos alone will run you 3k to retrofit, and then you still have the smaller wheels and no lsd.
Plus, the seat is a lot better at holding you in place if you plan to autox with it.
IMO, it's worth it.

Too light? The steering is very BMW'ish combined with great chassis stiffness it provides great feeling IMO. What you describe as "more feeling in the RSX" might actually be torque steer.
Did you test drive a base or a track? Tires and suspension make a world of difference.

I bought the 2.0T over the 370 because it suits me a little better at this point of my life. Aside from that, there is no real comparison because the 370Z is superior in every performance aspect that's measurable. Then again, it's a 2 seater and the GC is just that. A coupe.
So the question to ask is what are you looking for? Speed and a little utility, or just performance? If it's just...

My previous car as always been "my old Golf". Never really took care of it esthetically and always though that washing a car's exterior more then once a month was a waste of time. Well yesterday, at like midnight (after coming back from my hockey game), I found myself in the backstreet shining my mags under the moon light... been more then 2 months now.
