The make and model will be on the front. I need the service tag also. With the service tag we can go right to the Dell (if it is truely a Dell) site and get all the drivers needed. The service tag will be on the back or side of the computer. How to get the Dell service tag

OK. After I installed the REVO program and opened it up, the programs that were listed on my system, were itemized, meaning, there were little + SIGNS there and I could click on them and little menus would drop down, you know what I'm talking about. I don't know how to get that screen back, can you instruct me ???

While the 0x7B stop error is most often associated with a hardware issue, I've seen file system corruption cause it, too. If you can find your installation cd, it should contain recovery console which we can use to try and recover the file system. If you can't find the cd, download RC.iso and burn it to a cd as an ISO image. You may need a burning tool like ISO Recorder to do this...be sure to get the version for the operating...

Try to borrow a mouse with a PS2 connector, or buy an adaptor of USB to PS2 (very cheap) and use your present equipment. If it work go to device manager and uninstall all USB drivers except for printers and cameras. Reboot the computer, let windows reinstall the drivers and try to work the mouse through a USB port....
