I would recommend finding out witch one your school uses (probably TI) and and go with that. The teachers will be much more knowledgeable with that calculator, witch in return will make it easier on you. I tried getting my son the less expensive type, and he had a hard time using it, with limited help from the teachers, so I ended up buying the TI anyway.

Sure, no problem. In regard of what you can code: how about a calculator ? It ain't that hard and it's useful . (of course with proper design and functionality)

You can program a TI-84... try writing a program to automatically do the quadratic equation... its really easy. For C++ start by writing a simple "Hello World" program.

I just made friends with someone who already had one, actually it had the same sort of pattern to my Casio. I've never worked on a TI, so I can't share my opinion on that

You're allowed to use the TI89 on standardized tests (eg. SAT) which is really dumb of them since it can essentially do the whole test for you in about five minutes. You can even define your own custom functions and program in C on it - it's absolutely insane. I meant that many teachers don't let you use them. Still, it's a pretty awesome toy! Whatever you pick, good luck, hope you like it.

I've been trying for 2 days to try to figure out how to make a resource Histogram. If anyone has made one before and knows the easy way, let me know. It's gotta be a stacked column. Thanks This post has been edited by cyrawhite : Today, 01:22 PM

I think if you are going to buy an OEM, HP is the best. Though I have to admit, my parents old Dell lasted them until I built them a new computer, it was good to them. So yeah, Gateway/E-machine is terrible. I have a chance to buy some MPC's and resell them, I just can't stand the look of them! My source keeps telling me how good they are, but I"m...
