MOST laptops have a hardware switch somewhere on them to turn the wireless on and off....have you ensured that the switch is on? sometimes it's a physical switch and sometimes there's a key combo on the keyboard (usually the FN key and one of the F keys that has a picture of a radio tower on it)

Thank you for reply... But I do not have any CDs and drivers with my laptop. As per information heard, HP has stopped supporting for XP usage on these types of Laptops (and supports only for Vista). I have gone through several forums also but no technique is helping. Some drivers whichever I could get in net, I tried... but failed and I have only above device manager screen. Still can something be done other than switching back to Vista...

Curious about network activity
Published (2009-11-03 16:38:00)
Some of my friends here in college are always talking about downloading music and videos right here on campus. I've never really gotten into that b/c I always found purchasing my media to always be more reliable and easier. Anyways I was wondering just how network administrators of school networks and whatnot are alerted to illegal activity such as downloading music.

Theoretically all data will get split evenly between multiple connections and this is handled by the router. A lot is dependent on how fast your connection actually is. If it's only 512k, it'll be slow anyway.

Regarding computer A, have you connected that machine to various different ports on the hub? Have you switched B/C/D/E to computer A's port? Have you swapped network cables between computers? This post has been edited by VinnyTAMU : Yesterday, 08:34 AM

This is probably a driver issue, but can you please verify that all cables are plugged and the printer is on . Can you give us some more information about the printer and how it is connected ? For example : HP Deskjet 6980 Printer series, connected with USB Also, have you recently installed software or updates ? (right before the problem started)...
