The main factor left out over the course of the shows when promotions came up, which were way too early anyway, was the fact of Sam and John Sheppard being promoted without having attended the relevent staff course which is required to progress from the rank of Major (or equivalent in other services) to Lt. Colonel. Are we to presume they did these courses? If so when, both officers spent their whole time in the field without any apparent (to...

I figured it was more because they were friends and because she was a doctor. And maybe the medical ward was alittle more lax on titles. Cause if your injured/dying your not gonna want to worry about addressing everyone by exact rank.

It's easier for me to stomach 'Family Ties' because I didn't actually see it until after I had seen both ' Ark of Truth' and 'Continuum'. There were another 3.5 hours or so worth of quality entertainment (IMO, etc.) after the remaining two regular-length episodes post-'Family Ties'. That makes it much more tolerable, but it's still the worst episode of the tenth season to me. Far and away.

I think you picked the right board.
And yes, absolutely. They made a fantastic villain--certainly far more interesting than the Wraith ever were.

I think I'll try and date these episodes too....not just airdate, but I mean, things go off from the real-world timeline when you figure two-parters and season finales/premieres happen at the same time. So I'll assume each ep starts a week after the previous one ended, except in obvious exception circumstances like them saying so, or Jack breaking his leg in Solitudes and then being fine in the ...

1.5: The Broca Divide.
This episode delves into the less political and philosophical side of the show and instead looks toward the more sci-fi elements of SG1. This episode concerns a disease which is brought back to Earth as a result of interactions with a species of people who bare similar characteristics to that of human primates. The diease takes control of the members of the Stargate...

I always find it strange how many people call S7 their favorite. Seriously. Tell me exactly why you guys love that season so much. Is it Jack constantly disappearing during important matters? The terrible/boring episodes like Space Race and Grace? I just don't get it. It had great episodes like Lost City and Heroes sure but... there's not much else to love. It's the worst SG-1 season to me. ...
