If you don't think the ending of that game is ambiguous, I don't know how to discuss this with you. That's without even considering all the anachronistic objects scattered throughout the world, things that would make little sense in the games' ostensible settings. As for...

Guybrush doesn't even see it. It's a message to us! Same goes for Elaine. There is no way around this unless you want to start questioning EVERYTHING. Seriously. The best ScummVM filter IMO is h3x or something like that, which is also used by SNES emulators. It does a great job smoothing things up.

Great, I just bought it. Actually the CD version is the only one I ever played, so if I can just forget I ever saw this thread I can remain blissfully ignorant of what I'm missing.

Apache 2.0 is also a very common license that should be ok. Also Eclipse Public License should be good most of the time if you don't actually modify, which you don't usually have to do since most...

If you are going to distribute the software you just have to provide the source if requested. If you are going to use the source of the software it will become a bit more complicated: if you are never ever going to distribute the modified software, then there is no...

Trailer here . For some reason, this was the brief cut that made the greatest impression on me: I don't know why, but it just seems awesome or something.

Three things: 1. HELL YEAHHHHH! Telltale with the MOnkey Island franchise. Awesome! 2. How do you get your episodes? Say that I buy them, which I will, can I just downlaod or do I need Gametap or somesuch? 3. WHYYYYYY is Paypal disabled just now?! The pre-order offer expires the 6th, hopefully it'll get fixed before that.

Anyone else picked this up, it's pretty good. This of the amount I have played, it sold enough so that the servers have become really bogged down. making it hard to find a game. The game it's self is pretty enjoyable.

Ok, I'm not seriously advocating the boycott of this just announced game. I just think it's funny...make that hilarious that gamers have already started a boycott group on the steam community that has almost 4,000 people right now. http://steamcommunity.com/groups/L4D2boycott Or do they have a point? Significant content for L4D1 was promised, and never delivered Valve put ...

It seems since I don't have time to play games as much as usually, a royal shitton of important, interesting, weird, under-the-radar little indie games came out. It would be nice if we had them all in one place, for reference. And also so that I and others may search them out and play them more easily. Might be best if we stuck to games that can be played, as in have been released , as opposed ...

New trailer and pre-orders! Link to Offworld post I love the art style of this game, but especially how Terry Gilliam-esque the animations look. And everything looks so well put together and polished: contextual interfaces, etc... Who knew something so rusty could be so polished!!! Nyar!

I just watched this video on Shacknews, the latest behind the scenes thingie from whatever Frenchmen are making this game. After a couple of minutes I had already planned this post, the core points of which were going to be: This is the kind of typical promotional video that's the antithesis of the Japanese style I was trying to explain in this other thread. It's all meaningless bullshit ...
