maybe its not just your type of comedy, I personally detest Seinfeld... I find nothing funny about it, yet I will laugh so hard I'll cry, with movies like
Hot Fuzz Shaun of the Death, and The Men who stare at goats....everybody laughs, just find the correct comedy...

The first film narrowly edges over the second for me, I thought the dark, grittier atmosphere and Michael Beihn having a larger role really helped it.
